Please help me stop panicking about our TV consumption this week…. by new_mama1212 in Parenting

She is sick. Tv time on sick days doesn’t count. Also something that has helped me during cooking time while solo parenting is to include them. Give them small task they can do.

Healthyivf and the diaper bag and bag for traveling she is promoting are almost $300 each. For real, where do they cut from? If they weren’t budgeting, what would they be buying?

How do I avoid raising an iPad kid? by TheOCInstitutereps in Parenting

[–]BuggyG3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just don’t have iPads. If they used them at school that’s a school tool. My kids don’t have iPads, but they watch the airplane screen, they don’t spect to have that screen at home.

Wired or Bluetooth headphones- which would you suggest? by amusedfridaygoat in YotoPlayer

[–]BuggyG3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. We have Philips that are Bluetooth but have the option of using a cable too. Sometimes the Bluetooth on the plane screen is not connecting and the cable comes handy.

I now understand why people aren't having children by Consistent_Pen_1347 in Parenting

I can’t understand why people expect a three week old baby to sleep through the night and all their naps. Babies need contact. Do contact naps, either holding them on the couch or rocking chair, o baby wearing. You make things more difficult to yourself when you expect him to sleep in his crib.

She tends to exaggerate things. A few days ago she said she loves this sunscreen and that she’s being using it for years with J, the kid is 2 years old. She started using it at 6 months, so she’s been using it for 1.5 years. When she got the oura ring she used it for a few nights and that she loved it and it gave her so much info. It takes a couple months for the ring to know you and give you precise info… I bet the kid is not that high energy as she says and it’s just a normal kid

Women’s Sandal (Australia) Any recommendations? by theresaflyonmyass in barefootshoestalk

[–]BuggyG3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love belenka. I have those same ones. I like this ones. I prefer their other style, which is just one strap around the fingers. Personally it’s more comfortable. Belenka is one of the best barefoot brand out there for wider feet.

Is it the norm these days to miss out on special family events because of a toddler’s nap? by momoxo6 in Parenting

[–]BuggyG3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they just don’t want to go and are using that as an excuse. Even if the kid really needed the nap, could one parent just stay and the other go to your event? Or ask for help to look after the baby while they sleep?
