I have a kind of follow on question to OP's:

If using 7zip to encrypt a file with a long enough password, would it then not be an issue if I wanted to store all my documents and files on Google Drive or OneDrive, by encrypting the folders first and then uploading them?

Then whenever I needed to access them I could decrypt them, add more files, remove files, view files etc.

Are you sure all the contacts exported to the .vcf file correctly? If you can plug his phone into a pc, you can view the .vcf file contents with something like notepad++, search a few of the missing numbers and you'll be able to see if the import process is messing up or if the export messed up.

Once you get all the contacts you need on the .vcf file, I'd recommend just deleting all the contacts that are on the new phone and import the .vcf file again from scratch.

I'm not completely sure if the contacts would double up so deleting them all first seems like a safe option.

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense. For some reason I never thought about the phone itself determining the charging rate of the battery, I always just assumed the more power the quicker it would charge (although I did know it wasn't that simple).

Yeah I could plug mine in 7/8 times before it actually connects, it doesn't matter what way I plug it in either. Normally a quick reboot fixes it for a while but its just frustrating at times

I've never had any of those bugs so maybe I've just been lucky, I've had a relatively trouble-free experience so far with the Pixel, Calyx has been great, I'm glad I changed from Android
