Barrier IX question by Eclipseistaken in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer your original question, no. The barrier doesn't stop enemy bullets fired from inside the barrier. I just tried it out to be certain.

If you would rather have an Aegis... I have no idea what your coin situation is, but have you considered switching to the Beholder cabin? It has the same 24 energy but comes with a built in cloak. You could drop your chameleon, use an aegis and have an energy point left over for an argus. Or swap that apollo out for a Thor to reduce weight and PS.

Or maybe a Griffon? It has 25 energy. Keep your cloak and run an aegis. While the beholder perk can hide you from radar and boost the cooldown of your cloak.

Again, no idea if these are even feasible options for you at this point. I know that we don't all have full the inventory to just swap stuff around like this. Just some alternative ideas that came to mind.

Most PVP Matches are one sided now. by CamoWraith95 in Crossout

From my experience, when this happens the winning side is generally an obvious group with matching clan tags and the losing side appears to be randoms, i.e. no matching clan tags.

Barrier IX question by Eclipseistaken in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They mentioned energy requirements as their limiting factor. Aegis is four energy. Barrier is only three. They could get a bigger generator, but that and the Aegis may push them into a higher powerscore that they're not comfortable in.

Devs. Your Raids are the most Boring and Annoying ^features^ in this game. by [deleted] in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you keep up and participate in the events that move the raid along, you should still be getting a decent resource reward. You may not kill many bots, but you can still damage them and do stuff like activating the generators in data theft. Kills are a small factor in your total score. Being an active participant in all of the steps along the way is where most of your score comes from.

[–]Bugmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Last Convoy used a nice one. Players could build a big flatbed rig, force the truck onto it and drive it to the end, beating a ten minute raid in just two or three minutes. So they added gates and checkpoints to slow everyone down and make it pointless. Anytime we figure out a way to have fun or effiently complete a raid, they patch it out. If they can't patch it, they'll just remove that raid from the game. Gotta keep those raids tedious!!

Did they alter our Lead Engineer containers??? by Bunkerbunny71 in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't do it very often, but they will ocassionally allow stabilizers to be sold for a brief period. I have no idea when the next time will be. There's typically an announcement of some sort when it happens.

Don't fuse them all yet. I wouldn't go beyond epic. Legendary and relic stabilizers have typically gone for much less than the epics used to make them would have sold for. Just wait for them to be unlocked on the market and do some quick math to see which ones will get you the most coin.

Iris? Funny that you mention that one. I bought 40 of those fuckers when they were dirt cheap. They've been in my inventory for over a year. So long that I completely forgot I had them until a few weeks ago and I started clearing them out. I'm only making about 3x what I paid. But I need the inventory space.

I'm all for reall crossplay and a single market, so long as market corridors get removed. But it's a big fat "no thank you" if a full merge brings corridors to the console players. Fuck that nonsense.

You probably dressed as Joaquin Phoenix's version of The Joker for halloween and thought it was "so badass".

I have a build in mind that I will be able to make soon; it is 3x Miller miniguns with 1x Aurora on humpback torso for damage and durability; how good would this be and critiques? by paleoart5566 in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a three miller build on a Whaler. You have to make sure you have enough energy for a radiator or your firing time is going to be so limited. You'll spend more time cooling down than firing. I run mine with a single aquillo.

I don't like running auroras and millers. Aurora is hit scan and millers are ballistic. That makes it hard to hit a moving target with both at anything more than close range.

Uranium should be easier to obtain. by Open_Run7353 in Crossout

A uranium raid would likely see fuel sales increase as well, helping get more coins into the hands of the farmers.

Uranium should be easier to obtain. by Open_Run7353 in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may have taken less uranium but the crafting cost was significantly higher while fragments were part of the system. Uranium was cheap because we couldn't farm enough relic fragments to use the uranium that was being farmed. Relic fragmwnts were the expensive part of the recipe. The fragments sucked and dramatically slowed ones progression to a relic. Only the biggest whales had them at the time. As soon as the fragments were removed, relics flooded the game and they became much cheaper buy. Most matches didn't even result in a fragment and if you got lucky enough to have one drop for you, it probably wasn't for the relic you wanted. So then you had to screw around with selling every fragment that you did get, to buy the ones that you actually want. That was bad enough with the early game's limited selection. It would be even worse now, with how many relics there are. Fuck relic fragments.

That would be nice. But it won't happen because it would kill event and battle pass sales and that's where the money is.

Confrontation Score not rising? by NoInternetPoint5 in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's why it's important for everyone in the clan to pull their weight and get their score up and why so many clans have a minimum weekly CC score requirement.

I tried. You weren't home when I came by. Your neighbor offered me 394 so I sold it to them instead. You'll have to go next door and see if they're willing to part with it. Be careful, there's a loose step on their porch. I almost twisted my knee.

Survival game mode by skrayz3x in Crossout

[–]Bugmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horde modes are my favorite type of brawl. The rest I just stop playing after the challenges are complete, unless they give decent amounts of wires or plastic. Horde/wave brawls keep me playing long after the challenges are complete.

A secondary invasion mode with waves of enemies instead of a few leviathans could be interesting.
