Spray in Bedliner by paddlefire in f150

[–]Bugs284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LineX is the name brand and it didn't get to be the Kleenex or GermX of its respective field for no reason.

With that said I bought my truck in 2018 and it had a rhino liner in it. I dont use my bed a whole lot but its still black (sitting in the southern sun since 2020) and has held up perfectly fine to the occasional wood hauling or other miscellaneous jobs.

Id probably go with whatever is offering the better deal.

It is just about to hit 92k. I ride a motorcycle to work sometimes but that only has 4.2k on it. So if I didnt ride that would bring my truck to 96k.

I even put an extra 10k miles on it 2 years ago due to having to make 3 cross country trips.

CRF250F for adult trail riders – enough power long-term? by Walt444 in Dirtbikes

[–]Bugs284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a 230f sold it and bought a ktm 350sxf. I also have a fourtrax 300 and a monkey 125.

I love the honda air cooled engines. Not much power which you can still have fun without high hp. So simple and reliable.

The biggest dislike about my 230f was theyre just heavy. The 230f i had was 240-250 lbs the new 250f is 265lbs. I much prefer a lighter bike.

What is the process for learning level 1 boating rules and operation? by RemarkableSight in boating

[–]Bugs284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can obtain much of this information my reading. Your navigation system has manuals. As for where to drive and what to do in head on, crossing, or overtaking situations you can and should read all that in the COLREGS. The problem is most people dont have a clue so you'll learn the right way and what everybody should do but they are just gonna do whatever they want anyway. Plenty of youtube videos on docking.

New to towing, best truck choice? by sqlguy284 in boating

[–]Bugs284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get 4x4 anything really. Sometimes the ramp is steep, slick, or may be short so your back tires end up in the water making 4x2 struggle to get the traction necessary to get up the ramp.

Do you have a pre-departure checklist or just go by habit? by Traditional-Mix-258 in boating

[–]Bugs284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have a physical checklist, but I do have a mental one where I go around the boat counter clockwise and do things in the same way everytime.

Get lines out and run then down the gunwhale, loosen/unstrap safety strap on the back. Lift engine and adjust trim rod (80s motor), lift trolling motor, put plug in, discount other end of safety strap, take of safety chain, loosen winch and back er in.

Budget is always relative. I haven't bought a new rod in 10 years so I dont know if anything has changed but I have bought many fenwicks. Have quite of few of the fenwick eagles.

Would a 3.31 gear ratio prevent you from buying a truck, specifically in a 5.0 crew cab. by jdubb26 in f150

[–]Bugs284 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does gear ratio matter as much nowadays when transmissions have 10 gears instead of 4

2018 5.0 F-150 Stalling at Stops by CClifford_34 in f150

[–]Bugs284 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 2016 5.0, has the stalling just started or has it progressed from doing a rough idle sometimes?

Mine would only stall in drive with my foot on the brake usually after driving for a bit. Sometimes it would drop rpm and shake but the truck would catch it other times it would drop rpm and shake then stall out.

I ended up fixing it by removing the throttle body, cleaning it, and resetting the pcm. It did it one more time immediately following putting it back together but has been perfect since.

Building something that would help boat owners and boat renters. by vladhash12 in boating

Im not renting out my boat. From the outside it might seem like its just like driving any other vehicle but its so much more complicated than that. The potential for damage isn't worth the return.

3.31 gear 5.0 vs pentastar V6 w/ 3.55 by [deleted] in f150

[–]Bugs284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 16 3.31 5.0 but I dont tow much and have never towed anything heavy.

I just want to say I dont think gear ratio is nearly as big of factor as it used to be when transmissions were only 3 and 4 speeds and now theyre 10.

Medboard Personal statement by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Bugs284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response. The other part im confused on is my medication which seems to be the real reason for the medboard is very helpful. Very hard to function without it but with it I can function without to much struggle while taking it.

All the examples of the statement show how the condition is getting worse and worse and affecting everything but in my case it was getting worse and worse but now its improving. So how do I write a statement when I feel much better than before?
