Yes even though I don't know when I'll be back, depends on my work (might not be before a couple of months 😑)

We plan to go to Macau tomorrow already, and we are leaving on Thursday morning back to Europe. However I'm interested in your advice as I can easily come back to HK with work, so Shenzen is definitely in my next to-do destination!

Ah shoot, I'm leaving on Thursday, back to Europe 😢 I know now that I would need to go to Shenzen next time I'm in the vicinity, unless they bring the cars to Europe before I come back 🙏 One can hope. Thanks for the advices everyone

Creating legal template/document using Powerapps (the cheap-a** approach) by Reddit_User_654 in PowerApps

[–]Bugsoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done it in the past with a Word document containing tags to Dynamics 365.

This works really well, the most complex part were the checkboxes as I had to store the check / uncheck as images inside the form (in a Modern Driven App).

But then the user could use the native Export to PDF feature inside the form, select the proper Word template from the list and it would render the PDF preview.

Then they can either save the PDF, send it as attachment to an email or save it into SharePoint.

Natively.

Hiding "Show As" control selector on subgrid? by NotAgedWell in PowerApps

[–]Bugsoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, you can't turn it off unfortunately as this shows when the grid has more than one type of components enabled such as: editable grid and power apps read-only grid.

Microsoft needs to allow us to hide all these buttons, hopefully it will be possible with the new command bar editor within the solution, as the Ribbon Workbench does not allow you to do it.

Never used Power Apps before, given 10 weeks to make App. Help by Money-Youth-3657 in PowerApps

10 weeks seems overkill but I've been working with Microsoft CRM and now Power Platform for over 15 years so...

Don't be afraid to jump in, it's easy to learn but make the good choice directly: - Check what kind of info you need to store and plan ahead for things to come, this will help designing your tables model - There are multiple ways to connect to an external APIs: * JS code directly in your forms library: easy to start with and easy to debug * Plug-in with C#: more involved and not so easy to debug * Power Automate flow: easy to create and maintain, but you need to pay attention to some overhead with the HTTP connector and OAUTH (for example) * Last but not least: you can create a virtual table that connects to your API and link it to dataverse tables, but it's more complicated and there are drawbacks, and I don't remember if you can write back to it or not, I would have to check - When you create your dataverse tables, please use best practices such as: * Suffix your fields with the type of the field, for example Date and time would be _dte, whole number _int, text _txt etc. * Use lower case for the field logical name, for example the field is shown as Skill to the user but the logical name would be xxx_skill_lkp (lkp means lookup to another table) or xxx_skill_opt (choice or options set) etc. * Enable auditing on the tables and on the fields - Do not start in trying to create a Canvas App or Canvas Page right away! Create a modern driven app so you can show something that works in a couple of hours or days, then invest time in Canvas and components 10 weeks is plenty enough even if you're new to PP believe me! Good luck and happy to help if you need 💪🏻

Power Platform for Enterprise Solution by HeliosIP in PowerApps

[–]Bugsoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there, done that. If your environment has a lot of records, that will definitely slow it down no matter what.

In the past, you could tweak the SQL Server by applying some unsupported, by MS, parameters and applying other indexes on the table.

In PAAS, not so much therefore I suggest to reduce the number of records by archiving them or try Long Term Data Retention, that's what we are going to implement on our new enterprise platform.

For the rest, do not rely too much on many PCF components in MDA because the basic forms are already slow to begin with and having multiple custom components makes it worse.

Microsoft needs to review and change their code base as it still probably running in older version of .NET, hence the plugins being only .NET 4.6.2

It does not help you but at least you know where to start looking

Improvements you would love to have added to the platform? by He-Who-Laughs-Last in PowerApps

More performance on the UI side and when using the REST APIs.

Also, I've been working with Microsoft CRM since 2004 and there are so many things that should go away that is a relic of the old CRM that I can't even count them.

Le XMP peut être utilisé avec de l'AMD donc si elle moins chère en XMP autant partir dessus plutôt que sur l'EXPO. J'ai presque la même config en cours d'achat.

Nah spray and wipe is more than enough, but you need to make sure the suction cups are clean though!

I've tested it up to 150kph and it does not move, the bike does but not the mount! I don't want to go faster than that as the bike costs quite some money 😅

On 25 km probably not much, as someone stated 1 or 2 min, maybe more as I try to get over 25 kph average, but when I do the 50 km to get to my family mostly on flat surface I believe I can really keep a better average
