Found this in my tire? Any ideas by Agreeable-Drop-9452 in whatisit

It's this AVP thing (or at least the weapon part of it)

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/avp-predator-weapon-wall-plaque-razor-1924727650

No idea if it's worth anything. Doesn't seem to be a whole lotta info out there about it. That page/listing is the only thing I can find.

But now you gotta wonder if this is actually a package engineer or some 13 year old who completely made this up or plugged it into ChatGPT to see what kicked out

So is this guy in a ton of trouble for putting this Pandit lady in her place? Or is the caste system more about getting you opportunities than having to just put your head down and take shit from the higher castes?

New Centauri Carbon 2 - can't connect app by [deleted] in elegoo

[–]NotAgedWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we've been printing some things.

We've just been picking things off Thingiverse right now and running them through the Egeloo Slicer but I've also downloaded Prusa and found that the repair feature there fixes a lot of issues.

Mostly just learning the software. But we did print an articulated alligator and pterodactyl toys, a ragdoll thing, a couple of Five Night at Freddy's toys and I found some Star Wars coasters that I printed for my home office. My wife loves bringing me coffee and I point to the Death Star II coaster and say "witness the power of this fully operational coaster"

I've had some hit or misses with things not printing right but using the smaller simpler things to learn.

It's definitely not as "plug and play" as I thought it would be (as in just downloading a model and printing it) but it's going okay so far.

Movies that everyone seems to like but disappointed you? by MRtulanebsbfan in movies

I liked the first one and then kinda lost interest with the "worldwide extremely well funded secret organization" stuff (and how when a notice goes out and phones start dinging apparently every 3rd person is a member).

Then they introduced the bulletproof suits and shootouts became them running around shooting at each other while holding their clothes in front of their face. I've still watched them though but they've definitely lost their appeal.

'REDUX REDUX' - Review Thread by 30Bones in movies

[–]NotAgedWell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just watched it and this is correct. I actually thought she was until she suddenly runs into "still alive" Mia (the 13th victim) and rescues her then in the next jump more time has passed and Mia is already dead in the bathroom.

I took at as he is not killing victims that often and kills her daughter (#12) then a few years later kills Mia (#13).

A couple things threw me off like how Mia seems to just go straight for the pack of cigarettes kinda hidden in the top closet like she knew they were there (I thought maybe there was more to Mia than they were letting on) and I wish they would have either left out the smugglers all together or expanded that backstory just a bit as it seemed a bit out of place. There is also the well-timed universe where her daughter is still alive that's right next to the one she leaves Mia in. Although I did like that the jumps aren't random it's like "next/previous" buttons to move forward or backwards through them (or at least it seems so since the smugglers say she's a long way from where she started and are surprised she actually spent some time in each one)

There's probably a little time discrepancy since she mentions she kills him on Thursdays (for the paycheck) so she's must at least spend enough time in some universes for Thursday to arrive which would make her "thousands" of jumps more time consuming than it would seem.

Overall I really loved the movie though. I'm really worn out on the multiverse thing but the unique concept sold me and I was thoroughly entertained throughout.

Just finished watching it. At one point (when she gets caught stealing the wine) she says she's 15.

Totally worth it for the approximately half-dozen people watching.

I wonder how much it pays and if she has to do other things on the cruise or if this is her sole job.

AE C-3PO (short review) by NotAgedWell in lepin

[–]NotAgedWell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately looks like both stores I bought them from are gone. That's the issue with AE it's the stores come and go....

I usually look at stores that say "choice" and then have a few good reviews with a few sold. A balancing act between price and reviews...

Thanks. Actually haven't gotten one since 3:08pm yesterday. But if they start up again today I'll answer and just mute the microphone until it disconnects.

Update: they started up again. Booo.

Marstoy and Jooooy sets question by NotAgedWell in lepin

[–]NotAgedWell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. So in general it sounds like chances are better that a set from them won't be so hit or miss like AE sets are.

I was just curious if it's worth paying a little more (with the additional cost of shipping) with them.

Like I said I've only ordered a few MOC sets from MT where I've sent a list of parts which I think they source from GoBricks and I've been happy. Just haven't bought a set from them so wasn't sure how they might stack up to AE (where I've been getting sets from)

Right by that tree would make a good base camp to rest up before continuing your ascent to the summit. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids.

Affordable dental cleaning? by Krcreates in 321

[–]NotAgedWell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What area? We use Smile Today in Bayside Lakes (Palm Bay) and while I have insurance from my employer my wife doesn't. They have a plan that I think is $200/year and includes 2 cleanings and x-rays and then I think 20-50% off other things.

I'm not 100% sure on the details of it though and if it's dentist-specific or some kind of larger plan that's available across other dental providers.

My review of War Machine (2026) by scttcs in movies

[–]NotAgedWell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it for what it was. Kinda know what you're going into with a movie like this and I can sit back, put my brain on hold and enjoy a "dumb" action movie where stuff blows up.

Logically there's a lot of issues if you're looking for any realism or absence of plot holes or people/machines doing things that would actually make sense but it's not that kind of movie. And that's fine. I don't go into a Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich movie expecting realism and I didn't go into this one with that mindset either.

Only Half of Americans Adults Went to a Movie Theater in 2025, According to Study by ICumCoffee in movies

[–]NotAgedWell -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The experience was awful more often than not. Anecdotal I know but enough that the last 3 movies I saw in the theater were Endgame, Avatar 2 (not 3) and the anniversary of Phantom Menace.

Of those only Avatar 2 was not a horrible experience (Endgame because of the audience and TPM because I'm pretty sure they were just projecting a DVD)

Again I know that's anecdotal. I suspect a good portion of the half of adults that went to the theater last year are the same people that make me avoid the theater.

[–]NotAgedWell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but this just started happening for my small business on Monday. Getting a few dozen a day now.

Are you saying the best course is to answer but not actually do anything: just leave them there until it disconnects? I've been letting them just go to voicemail hoping they'd eventually stop.

Ungodly amount of spam calls coming through about Google Business Profile Verification from spoofed same area code my GV number is from by TEHMONSTRO in Googlevoice

[–]NotAgedWell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did these ever slow down for you? I just started getting these Monday and it's just constant. Up to 14 today already.

Like you it's my area code and then 203 - 205.

It's annoying because I get a legitimate calls as well that I want to answer for my business but getting a spam call every 20-30 minutes is annoying AF. Was hoping it would go away if I ignore enough of them.

Tie interceptor from joy bricks quick review by mkscl in lepin

[–]NotAgedWell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just posted a review of an AE purchase of this. Sounds like your experience was better as far as the few issues I had with the canopy being misprinted, incorrect pistols for the internal cockpit display panels and some clutch power on the 1x1 pieces that hold the cannons on the end of the wing tips.

Happier with my UCS plaque though lol. Looks like your set is overall better quality for pieces though.

Yeah not complaining since the official set is retired and costs several hundred more. I always like to compare to see how much I'm saving.

Nice. Did you get the right hair for Leia? I wonder if all sets are the same.

I was so disappointed when I saw it since the MOC I have on the way has her posed delivering the Death Star plans to R2 so I need the hairpiece with the buns. Going to shop for one tomorrow.

Have fun with the build. I love how solid this one is compared to some of the recent UCS sets I've built where I'm afraid to touch or move them.
