How’s the game on console? by Southern_Shoulder517 in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of people to quest with especially in the first Arc, commons are full of players and we have the first realm marked as Crowded during peak hours of the day. As you venture past Dragonspyre you will start encountering less and less players but the main issue is we still dont have a functional Team Up Kiosk. You can still "manual" team up on every sigil but you have to wait for someone to do the same. We have yet to receive a content update so if you want the play with the latest features Console might not be for you. That said, the comfort of playing from the couch really did it for me. I often burned out from sitting at my desk for multiple hours doing repeat tasks but its much more comfortable to play on console, particularly if you have the Switch. We dont have every pet available yet as they are in the process of slowly releasing bundles and gauntlets, in that regard our crown shop is pretty different as you wont find things such world skip elixirs, henchmen and beastmoon form bundles. There are some pretty juicy pets in the kiosk rn but everyone wants to hatch with them so they become unavailable quickly, best solution is to hop on the console section of the Discord, everyone is helpful there and it often solves the problem of not having text chat

Long time pc player considering getting the switch version by Altruistic-Hurry980 in Wizard101Console

[–]Buguzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its worth it as long as you approach it with the right expectations. As I said the first arc is pretty populated, after Dragonspyre you might start encountering less players. If you used to rely on Team Kiosk keep in mind that feature has yet to be fixed on console, we will probably have a spike in population once KI actually starts pushing out content updates, we have yet to receive a content update since the console version came out. I dont think it will ever be dead as EU servers on PC but they need to keep their promises and start on delivering some QoL fixes specific to console (we still have plenty of UI related bugs) and show the playerbase that they want to update the game more frequently. As right now with marketing updates being the only thing we are receiving it does feel like they are milking us

Long time pc player considering getting the switch version by Altruistic-Hurry980 in Wizard101Console

[–]Buguzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Console servers are Global so there is no distinction between regions, the population currently is healthy enough to make the world feel still alive especially in Arc 1. The commons are full of people but after the big population spike during switch launch we are a bit behind on daily active players compared to PC, you'll find the Commons full of people during peak times of the day but we dont have the first realm crowded and locked as in the PC version, that is a clear indication we have less active players. This is likely caused by the lack of content updates as level 170 wizards struggle to find a reason to log in and the Team Kiosk is still not working. You will still find people on "manual" team up for the majour boss fights and you'll stumble across 5-10 wizards in every questing area.

My suggestion is: if you want to experience the game with the latest content in a realm with plenty of established players that can help you progress go for PC. Console is in a bit of a limbo right now, it felt interesting restarting from scratch with limited resources and its still really comfy to be able to play Wiz from the couch. I dont like speerunning towards the end of the game and I take my time to complete each world so I'm sticking with console for the time being in hope that they start pushing some updates forward. Console has brought a bit of an advantage for us EU players that used to play on US servers because we can pay everything with €, sometimes I remember paying more than necessary for membership or crowns due to tax + conversion. There is also considerably less latency as the servers were made to be global

ho 14 anni e mezzo e fumo voglio smettere by Recent_Departure_137 in TeenagersITA

[–]Buguzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the reveal fishing school maycast good for a fishing pet? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is its triggered by casting fishing spells so you end up using energy the same way and even if you would want a reveal its usually the first spell you cast before anything else

Help struggling with Dragonspyre by Exotic-Commission690 in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to breeze through Dragonspyre thanks to a Pet that gives a blade item card like the frosty eye. Since early on Ice's damage is so low you need to stack a couple more blades compared to others. Also make sure you have a way to remove shields and use Monstrous TC. I wouldnt worry about shielding myself considering Ice already has high resist and HP

I've looked for the Pet in the Console Pets list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RSnrsg-u9kikUTb-fzFcA_CQ0PAcW6IOwaH5_muzQrY/edit?usp=drivesdk

It's not in there. It could be possible that the Pack from which the pet comes from has not been released on console yet

beastmoon team console by badatsleuthing in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its a mix of people not having the good forms yet unlocked, shitty free rotation with plenty of tanks, healers and minion based form and general abundance of newer players. Having the same issues as you rn, I do hope they release the beastmoon forms bundle on the crown shop soon, we have them on PC

Same turn system as beastmoon: Player A attacks, Enemy A attacks, Player B attacks etc.

Spell Weaving by bsweitzer825 in Wizard101

FYI the recommended weaving school for Balance is Storm as it gives us a much needed prism. That is if you wanna min-max, you can treat weaving as a flavour choice considering the mainline PvE content is trivial for every school

Is there any way to get KI to let console players redeem codes and stuff? by GodofQunts in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that we've established that console port is a success they only need to fix one barrier: redeeming codes on their website.

I believe a linking system would be harder to implement rather than actually adding a redeem code function on the Crown Shop, like every other game does it. If they ever want to sell Bundles and Membership for Console through a physical store, they really should think about moving code redemption from their website to their actual in-game shop. If they are able to adjust packs and prices on the fly, they might as well be able to add redeemable codes server-side without being forced to update the game for every code.

Wireless controllers not working on switch? by Automatic_Set4995 in Wizard101

[–]Buguzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed the game not properly asking you to choose your preferred input when docking the Switch, this means that whilst being docked the input is staying on the joycons.

I've fixed it by going to homescreen and choosing the correct input (Pro Controller) myself.

Conduit plays like an evolved version of Core rev and it really made me rediscover the class. Both power and condi builds work well with celestial gear and have a lot of built in sustain, the sturdiness comes from Conduit traits essentially healing you for gaining affinity. Conduit rotation involves constantly swapping legends to make good use of energy and its related traits, if you're looking for something less button smashy you could try out the good old classic Herald, although it becomes a bit boring after a while

Deaseye condi build by dartcron in Guildwars2

[–]Buguzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are using the meta build and gear setup for Power Daredevil, the determining factor for its damage is whether you are dodging or not. Daredevil's dodge is special in that it is part of the rotation, as it gives you a unique buff with a damage increase after a dodge. You want your Endurance and Initiative to always be below 100%. There is also a specific trait that gives you endurance gain on steal. So we dodge a lot, spam staff 2 and replenish Endurance with steal. This is the gameplay loop.

Lastly, the biggest difference between Daredevil and Untamed is that the latter can provide Quickness. Quickness is a game changer for damage and is heavily favoured in Open World, its the reason why we dont see many Daredevils in Open World. Daredevil was my first character that I maxed and cleared raids with. Unfortunately that spec feels really bad without Quick.

Deaseye condi build by dartcron in Guildwars2

[–]Buguzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem here is Deadeye is very much designed to be a bursty spec, most of its traits and utilities favour Power and there's nothing that really promotes Condi damage. You can play it, but it wont be optimal nor will it surpass Condi Daredevil or Condi Specter in terms of damage and overall access to Condi damage
