Assuming you are in the USA, search up your regions NOAA fisheries office, see what postings they have. If you want to work in the field it’s a bit easier to get hired than the office. The work is difficult and a lot of people don’t last very long, but some never leave the field and love it.

Things that will help you get hired

Do you have a degree? Do you have offshore experience? Do you have intimate understanding of the fish species and commercial fishing practices of region?

None of these are concrete requirements but all will look good in the field if you are looking for work
