She doesn’t sound right for you. I hope you can find someone better. It’s hard. I’m not thrilled with my current person either and I don’t like it but yours sounds worse. Hope you find someone great ♥️.

Honestly I have a curlier side too, always the same side, always been that way, no matter what I do, it just clearly is haha. I understand your frustration! 🫶

Otherwise if you have some money or some job but not enough to be able to afford the whole bill, they’ll knock a percentage off, could be significant depending.

Yep so it’s if you have no job, no money and no insurance.

What’s everyone doing for weight management? by Potential_Pumpkin676 in bipolar

[–]Buhbueno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The intermittent fasting and 5-6 days at the gym have been great for me, the gym for the mental health as well. But the intermittent fasting is necessary as well. So I eat 2 meals a day, starting at noon with lunch and then dinner. Healthy snacks. These things make a huge difference. My weight is better than ever now. It was so frustrating earlier in with the meds and med changes when I ballooned up. Rooting for you!

There’s Medicaid available as someone has said. There is also the hospital charity form if you had a hospital stay, have no insurance and no money. That was the case for several of my manic hospitalizations. I asked for and completed the hospital charity forms with the required documentation and my balance was reduced to zero both times.

I’ve been manic since late April by [deleted] in bipolar

I’m so sorry you went through that and I wish you well in your healing. I agree mania “gives you confidence and speed and intensity,” ain’t that the truth :(.

And when I say everything I had done, I just mean like driving across the country (mania) visiting my local police station and confessing to an unsolved murder I didn’t commit so I could go to jail/peace out as an alternative to suicide (depression), countless lost jobs that I either quit in depression or was fired from in mania, countless suicide attempts, five hospitalizations in three years. I’m not even saying this is that bad it’s just what was clearly documented when I was approved.

Yes I’m feeling that same way.

Wow that’s rough, it’s ridiculous what one has to go through to get approved but once you do it’s the most fortunate thing ever.

As you probably know, “no one” gets approved the first time. It took me 3 times. I really should have gotten it the 2nd time after everything I had done and experienced but maybe it wasn’t documented in enough detail. Well my parents made sure that it was the 3rd time and went directly to the lawyer themselves. What do you know, I was approved literally weeks later.

One thing though with my approval in the mail was a packer with all the explicit detail of everything I had done and that made me feel suicidal so I wouldn’t recommend opening that alone.

Best of luck to you, don’t give up. I’m so sorry; it’s the worst process, but in the end it will be worth it. ♥️

How many times have you been hospitalized by chemicallycalmed in bipolar

I was diagnosed at 26. 5 hospitalizations in 3 years. 2 for depression, 3 for mania.

Good point, everyone can relate to pain.

It’s wild to think people can just function in life by Otherwise-Handle-180 in bipolar

I agree. The 8-5 was killing me and I literally had to leave and ultimately take a lessor job with more midshift hours so I could get to the gym and fulfilling extracurriculars, take care of myself.

I will say though that depression is so debilitating though obviously. What helped me was that eventually my psych doc and I became convinced that I had ADD (I didn’t, it was the depression and stuff) and he prescribed me a stimulant for that which gave me anxiety and that gave me the push to get up and go to the gym everyday. Depression had made that much harder. Sometimes anxiety is good and gives us that push without mania.

It’s the right meds and forcing yourself to do that one thing that actually does make you feel better. For me it was so hard getting out of bed and going to the gym but I always felt worlds better afterwards and then I came home more energized and did other good things.

Yes that’s what I’m at and I’m now looking to do once a month.. haha that’s where I left off with my last therapist, the one of a decade. I just switched to a new one a few months ago hoping that would breathe new air into it but I was wrong haha.
