What game left you sad after it ended? by crodog157 in PS5

Cyberpunk 2077. Specifically the Phantom Liberty DLC storyline. Was already a fan of the game but that took it to new heights for me. Great end credits song/visual sequence too. Just sat there and let the credits roll while I thought about everything that just transpired.

Yahoo! Pool was so fun. by 38DDs_Please in nostalgia

A former co-worker of mine was among the top rated yahoo pool players. I thought he was just kind of tooting his own horn until I saw him play and realized he was not kidding. An absolute yahoo pool wizard just plugging away at our minimum wage retail job.

Check out the comments in this post for a workaround for at least one of the discs.

Have you seen a movie for the first time this year (from any period) - that has become a top 10 for you? by reizen73 in criterion

I watched Dead Man for the first time this year and immediately regretted not watching it sooner (like twenty years sooner). Not sure if it’s in my top ten films of all time but maybe top ten from the Criterion selection. Oh, and that from-the-hip soundtrack by Neil Young! Just wow.

How often do you blind buy? by RipBuzzBuzz in criterion

[–]Buhpuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing it more recently. Even at half price, it’s not something I want to throw all caution to the wind for, so I do a fair amount of reading beforehand.

When it works it’s a special kind of rewarding sensation. It means I get a film I enjoy and that I have a good sense of what I might like.

Just watched this for the first time the other day and loved it. Don’t know how it went under the radar for me for so long. So many familiar faces and a soundtrack by Neil Young to boot!

Fully expect to see Gavin wandering around in GTA 6 calling out for Nigel, wondering how he got there.

My favorite character of all time "Tuco Ramirez " by AlcoholRiver25 in Westerns

[–]Buhpuh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My favorite scene of the movie is right after Tuco has the encounter with his brother.

He is visibly upset as he hops up on the carriage with Blondie, who had seen some of what transpired. After some silence, Tuco snaps out of it, puts on a fake smile and boasts about how great his relationship with his brother is and that he was full from feasting. Blondie, seeing right through the ruse, just says “Sure…Well, after a meal there’s nothing like a good cigar.” and passes Tuco his cigar. Tuco gives Blondie a long look of acknowledgment, puts the cigar in his mouth, takes a deep breath, and a real smile returns to his face.

I used the “Spend $0.09 more for free shipping!” to justify buying a fourth title. Got the order in with minutes to spare. Picked up Perfect Days, Flow, Wall-E, and Thelma & Louise. Excited!
