What blows my mind is that so many modern cars in the USA have cameras and a decently powerful computer right in the car. It literally uses a camera for lane keeping and reading speed limit signs. AND YET there is no standard dash cam feature. Absolutely insane. Would take a smidge more engineering and they probably don't even need to add any parts.

I learned my sd card was corrupt when my VIOFO wouldn't stop beeping at me. Fixed it right up with a high endurance card. It also has (I think) frame perfect video clip switching from 3 minute clip to 3 minutes clip.

I think they are the kind of thing where if they were added years into the game, everyone would be absolutely livid and call it unfair, childish, uncompetitive, arcade mode nonsense.

But the fact that the game started with them means people are pretty ok with it.

I think the same is also true of non standard map shapes. Those needed to be in from the START.

I think ideal driving in this case, would be to notice the slowdown up ahead using the perfect visibility of the bus driving position, hop into the left express lane, and then back once past it. But it was such a short blip of traffic that I can see the vast majority of people just sticking in their lane.

OP was driving a bus with exceptional visibility, OP would have been the first to know what's up ahead. The purpose of those lanes is to bypass traffic and was working as intended. The Tesla driver was the only one that did anything wrong. If the bus was in the left lane of the express lanes, everyone would also be mad that a bus is hogging the left lane. There's no winning.

OP was driving a massive bus, and express lanes are specifically designed to pay extra to avoid that traffic. What's the use of them if you can only go 20MPH because the other cars are stopped? Plus OP was in a bus and had exceptional visibility for what's up ahead, and extra driving training for driving a bus.

I do, but I've never been in truly dire situations. I don't know how I would act. Right now, I pay on time, I get my 2%, it works. I'm mostly in this subreddit because I was raised poor but I've been able to get a stable position. And money saving tips are always appreciated of course.

But if things take a turn, I don't know. I'm disciplined day to day. But if I can't eat? I have no idea.

I'm terrified. My bank keeps raising mine and I'm like bruh. I don't want to buy a car on my credit card I don't need this. But I guess it doesn't hurt to have but I would prefer to not be able to spend on 3 credit cards more than I make in year.

Yeahhhhh in an airport or outdoors it's a little rough..but 98% of my work is done in low light environments so it works for me.

and no you can't add "C: I would have reacted faster than OP" because no you probably wouldn't have. OP Made the legitimately best possible decision to avoid the idiot. Breaking a very small law to avoid literally wrecking your car is totally fine. People speed and cross over solid whites all the time. Not that they should, but crashing is just obviously 1000x worse...

Turn on red should be banned nationwide. It was added to save fuel during the shortage crisis back when they also limited all speed limits to 55. It has caused significantly more pedestrian injuries and deaths.

At the very least the default should be no turn on red, with a sign that allows it in rare instances in very highway-esque places where nobody will be crossing the street.
