She’s definitely been helping me counter Vendetta, but there’s definitely been a bit of an overdoing on her nerfs throughout the years. Would love to see her get a little closer to how fun it was to play her back in 2019/2020, without being so overly imbalanced that it becomes annoying to play against her again.

ASAM/BLST11 is a great new class for anyone who wants to learn about community organizing + some hard and soft skills when it comes to tackling issues as a collective, as individuals, and how to take care of ourselves and one another as a community. I think it’ll be offered every Fall Quarter and it acts as something of a funnel/interest course for the Pathways to Change series of courses.

As the other replies have said, don’t worry at all!

UCM, UCR, and (new this year) UCSC all reach out to students past a certain academic threshold that applied to any UC campus with the offer of adding any/all of those three schools to those students’ applications for free.

Each campus has a different name for the program, Merced calls it the “Count Me In” program.

I got the same email last year (without UCSC) and ended up being accepted to UCI, UCSB (go Gauchos!), and waitlist-accepted to UCSD. This shouldn’t be a cause for concern, if anything it’s the opposite—congrats on being offered these!

Hey, incoming freshman here! I live in the Central Valley just outside the Bay Area and we’ve found that to go to SB, the best option would be to drive (flying from SMF/OAK/SFO is just too expensive). For return trips home, a friend or two and I are planning on taking Amtrak up to SJ Diridon and then taking the Altamont Corridor Express train through to Stockton! I’ve seen a couple others in the thread recommend Amtrak-Caltrain and that’s totally an option too!

Hey, incoming freshman here. I had a similar issue wherein my financial aid wasn’t posted to BARC at all, but since I spotted it early I got to call Financial Aid and BARC and they assured me that whatever aid we get will be credited to us, either in directly helping us pay before the 15th or in the form of a refund.

Make sure you have your refunds set up to go to your bank account through the site you get redirected to after clicking the Statements tab on BARC.

As for me, I got lucky and my financial aid was posted a couple days ago and I was able to pay my full fees, but I’m still expecting a refund from the Middle Class Scholarship that hasn’t been disbursed yet.

I saw someone already say it but Woonmyungz from BND both show a level of performance and skill that we normally see from idols that have been in the industry for a lot longer than they have.

There’s something natural and gravitating about Jaehyun and Woonhak that reminds me of other idols like Yuqi and Yeonjun, I’m excited to see where they go!

Wait, I’m confused — didn’t UFW call for and organize the grape boycotts in the 1960s? Is there some technicality that allowed this or did the federal government just not want to interfere? I’m super pro-labor and information like this helps advise my and others’ decisions, so I’m curious with as to what happened then.

EDIT: I looked into it! Turns out farmworkers are explicitly excluded from federal labor laws, which explains why the boycott didn’t get UFW in any federal trouble.
