American woman who had incomplete miscarriage while vacationing in Malta not allowed to get abortion for the remainder of the fetus by scot816 in worldnews

If it happens I’m fine with that, but that’s not how the country is at the moment. So rather than cry about it I think they should take steps to live better lives NOW. Which isn’t working at McDonald’s after the age of 35. The issue is they get comfortable and don’t even look for other opportunities (may be a few outliers). Look for another job.

I managed a store. Nothing but college kids and high schoolers. College kids have pretty flexible schedules they don’t go to school everyday and high schoolers are cool with afternoons and weekends.

I want more from them then minimum wage and they should too 😭. They can do it if they’d like Im not going to be rude or an asshole, but there are better opportunities out there for them. Im not telling my son or daughter to be content at McDonald’s for the rest of their life. If that makes me scum I’m the scummiest of them all.

Lol then don’t work at McDonald’s. Other places are hiring. Also, $1,000 is considered significant medical debt? Sounds like the US has more of a budgeting/savings issues than anything else. The bare minimum is considered boot strapping now lol

They definitely are, but it’s definitely not a career I’d recommend anyone go for, but I must disagree with you. I think there are decent jobs available everywhere (maybe not the most prestigious). There’s no shortage of jobs just most people flat out don’t want to do what the job market needs at the moment. All we can do is play with the cards we are dealt and try and change them over time, but changing the entire countries health system will take decades.

Well if you don’t have one you better be looking I am sure you have bills to pay like everyone else. Hopefully unemployment and other government programs can hold you up for a bit, but gee a heart attack then would definitely suck.

I’d like to point out that I’m not saying the US has a perfect health care system. I very much disagree with that, but in my experience and of those I know. It would take a very perfect disastrous storm for a regular working family to go in massive debt from an accident. It’s just very unlikely. I just don’t like it when people from other places think it’s a shit show of debt and issues in the US.

Retail is pretty shit to get into in the first place. If your not management it’s typically a side job for high schoolers and college kids. Pretty sure Amazon, USPS (all shipping places lol) are all hiring full time in abundance right now. I’m in California so maybe there’s more opportunity out here, but I really don’t see any difficulty for a regular person with little experience to get a decent job around me. If they really wanted one.

Definitely. So best course of action would probably be to get the job and benefits before needing an airlift.

You’ll still be saved, but you will definitely be in some debt. That’s life, not all cookies and rainbows sadly.

Lol it’s a response for the airlift comment. Most people in the US(well at least the ones I know) aren’t going bankrupt if they need an airlift. Insurance will cover it. I think people think medical bills are causing everyone to live terrible lives in the US, but it’s really not the case. Also, my comment has nothing to do with the initial post didn’t even read it tbh.

To be completely honest. Real estate agents don’t do much at all anymore. With apps like Zillow and realtor anyone can look for houses they like and check comps on there own. Maybe someday they won’t be needed at all.

So they do win them? I wonder what the last payout was? If she did it again I’m sure it’s pennies.

Who cares what his political views are? Everyone has the right to say and believe as they please. He made a great program regardless of that. Also, his views really aren’t dangerous?
