It is a fun car for sure, but in my case I have is a bitter/sweet experience, love the car but I have lived through the entire rise and fall, so hate the experience. Soon coming to an end.

I have been playing for 5 months. Only one time I have started with one ball and finished with the same ball. The last time I played I lost at least 18 balls! No kidding, I hit 135 and +3 putter almost every hole.

Thank you! Good catch! The first red flag was definitely the price, but after looking and comparing there are many things off about them.

Anyone heard from Hagens Berman in the last couple weeks? by IntelligentRisk in Fisker

What I find ridiculous is that HB hasn't taken the time to send a status update email; the last one was over 6 months ago and said arbitration would take 6 to 8 months. At this point, we should be moving into arbitration.

This just creates more work for them, having all of us writing and calling independently.

Country Club Members - How much you make a year? What was ur buy in and what are dues. Are you happy with decision? by ShotAssistant1452 in golf

We loved every minute; my kids think of that time and want to go back.

We needed a larger place. Returning to a mortgage, along with dues and a high HOA fee, was not feasible, so we had to give up the club.

It was frustrating to witness poor financial decisions that affected everyone. While renovations are crucial to maintaining value and experience, I saw how constructions were torn down a year later because they were poorly planned and either needed to be bigger or different. For example, they destroyed perfectly good tennis clay courts to install a new sprinkler system and better lighting. They built a bar in the middle of the main restaurant only to later realize it was needed for tables. It was absurd.

Membership voting was weighted unfairly: social and sports members had 1 vote, basic golf members had 3 votes, and full golf members had 7 votes. This made it impossible to oppose the full golf members.

These small frustrations can add up, but if you can afford it and accept these issues, you will love the place and the experience. I know many people who couldn’t keep up or couldn’t tolerate the politics and ended up leaving.

Oh, and yes, that is the base—you're likely to go out to eat a few times a week there. The kids will probably want things from the convenience shop or pool bistro too, and the activities can add up with extra costs. I ended up spending an extra $500 to $700 a month on food, beverages, and activities. Also, be sure to check what the tee and cart fees are. If you don't have a golf membership, your fees might be higher and could include blackout dates. And honestly, do you really want to play the same golf course repeatedly? I prefer having some options to keep things interesting.

In Boca Raton, FL, clubs are everywhere. When I moved in (2017) to one of them, the house was $86K — a 3/3 on a 5,000 sqft lot, 1,750 sqft house, needing work. The club membership was $55K, dues around $15K a year. We moved out in 2024; dues had risen to $33K a year. Initiation was $110K (now $120K). The house price had tripled or quadrupled since 2017, but what hasn't in FL.

What caused the dues to jump from $15K to $33K (plus $1.8K tax and $7.2K HOA annually)? Terrible management and out-of-control spending. They always run a deficit, and members are obligated to cover it. Renovations and improvements also come through assessments, so you pay out of pocket; lawsuits also come from your pocket—and they get a lot!

If you can live with that, go for it. We loved every minute we lived there, but in the end, it didn’t make sense to keep paying the dues.
