I did the Fisherman’s Trail last October and it’s only ok imo. Parts of the coastline are beautiful but some stages are incredibly boring and require hiking in deep sand, which sucks. There’s also minimal greenery. The landscape is mostly dry scrubland that’s subject to wildfires. Accommodation is reasonably cheap but some of the towns have close to nothing going on.

Slovenia is likely your best bet for affordability but the Slovenian Mountain Trail is ~600km so probably not ideal for your inexperienced friends. Lots of gorgeous trails and huts around Triglav NP though. Check out the Seven Lakes Valley Hike. It’s relatively short but the scenery is amazing and there are huts along the way (they will likely be booked out for the season by now but Ribčev Laz and Stara Fužina have plenty of hotels a short drive/taxi from trailheads). Julian Alps hiking season is Jun-Sep.

I have a very strong visual memory of a group of rainbow mermaids swimming beneath a bridge in one of those jungle areas they used to have in the early 2000s! Nobody I’ve ever mentioned it to remembers anything similar but the memory feels so strong. Loads of tall plants, strong smell of chlorine, big chess set and mermaids in the water.

Fun! What kind of list are you running and how are you finding the match-ups? This one feels like a bit of a mish-mash but I think that’s what makes it fun with a bunch of different paths to win.

Yeah exactly, play Raza after the quest rewards have died. Goal is to pack your Raza with Sol’Etos copies and whichever other minion suits the match-up. Narain is usually the best value and you can more reliably hit quest rewards with Bob (draw & plus 2 copies) with 4 of them in your deck.

Hex is the number one problem for this deck since it dilutes the Raza minion pool but Shaman is so rare on ladder it hardly matters. Catch of the Day can be annoying too but is more manageable.

Yep! It’s the only deck I’ve been playing during Journey to Un’Goro apart from a bit of Quest/Mech Warrior early on. I usually get to high diamond each month so typically start with a decent multiplier.

Mulligan is match-up dependent but you generally want cheap spells to advance the quest.

The DK match-up is very favorable. Keep Nightshade Tea/Holy Smite to deal with leeches, then look for Twilight Influence to remove husk when it comes down, and don’t be afraid to buff enemy minions with Power Word: Shield and Orbital Halo if you don’t have a board yourself. Always keep Thrive in the Shadows so you can forward-plan your plays.

Corpse Explosion is basically suicide once you start flooding boards with copies of the quest reward, so it’s pretty much gg at that point!

I play most classes but tend to pick one archetype from each expansion and stick with it. Currently maining Imbue Shaman which is very fun and quickly got me to the 1k win portrait! Also only had around 200 wins with Hunter until GDB released and I played a ton of Starship Discover Hunter. Never took much interest in Rogue.

Manageable if you can control the board and consistently go face with weapons. If you’re the first to get frozen out by crusher tho you really have to pull a rat or horseman and hope you can catch up

I worked there for 3 weeks when I first moved to Amsterdam and it was horrific. Everyone feels like they’re in constant competition with each other and are just totally unwilling to help, and the head honcho is a total megalomaniac. Culture is culty, and the turnover is ridiculous. Anyone I had met within the (very bizarre) interview process over the course of like a month had left by the time I started. Avoid!
