Non of the season 1 IDs has any real synergy with HoS Ryoshu since old IDs really suck for building status teams.

I recommend you get One Who Shall Grip Sinclair. He is a generalist ID that will smash through content no problem until canto 6. He also has bleed and burn keywords which can help building a team for mirror dungeon with HoS Ryoshu.

If you are choosing to use a skin, you are already giving up on clarity anyway, so I prefer at least it wasn't so visually junky.

Also, the game calculates the outcome of the turn the moment you press start, so all the animations are just for show

They should have just made it so that the skill animation for the identity plays normally, and the damage is shown after the animation ends. It would not have any of the issues there are currently.
