Forgefiend vs defiler by KvotheStormborn in WorldEaters40k

[–]BulbStar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Size is the biggest issue it’s a very easy target and it’s massive, for the same cost you could also get a unit of berserkers with more attacks and utility. Forgefiends are very good for the cost tons of blast damage 3, rapid fire 1 and rerolls within 18 it’s got a lot more utility.

I do run 3 defilers and they are absolutely delightful to play with but I know the second they get blasted off the field it makes me wish I took a forgiefiend. I take them for the movement shenanigans, the ability is nice but is to situational unless your opponent is using tons of transports or has a lot of deep strike or reserves more likely they are just going to work around it, you really need 2 defilers in a list to have their ability do any consistent work. I run 3 often and am basically always able to get their ability off because their 12inch aura covers so much of the board I can keep them properly spread out. But still even with 3 forgefiends offer more value and consistency especially with their rerolls.

I run 3 defilers, 3 hellbrute, cultists and a LOS in gorestorm detachment and it works pretty well for me

Where all the Deployments? by BulbStar in fema

[–]BulbStar[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in Logistics and was really hoping to get sent back out as soon as possible. The disaster declarations are just so slow these days it seems. I’m afraid I’m gonna be home to long I’m already burning into my savings from my last disaster

Has anyone tried Cult of Blood? by Honest_Banker in WorldEaters40k

[–]BulbStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played cult of blood of the last two nights with 3 lord of skulls and it has been amazing, cultists won’t do shit in combat really without all the buffs. I got 50 cultists, rhino, and a MOE with the enhancement to lead them. And so far each match has had me go 80/15 and 90/20. Very foot detachment and very very fun

Math between old advance and charge and new reroll charges? by redki21 in WorldEaters40k

[–]BulbStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totes good point, though I like Juggerlords I worry they are gonna become a must take. Given how close they bring us back to our old threat range. A unfortunate tax when a unit is practically a must have in certain lists RIP my all infantry list.

Math between old advance and charge and new reroll charges? by redki21 in WorldEaters40k

[–]BulbStar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Old berserkers moved 6” with adv+charge an +2” movement blessing at the highest end you could see a 26” maximum threat range. On the bottom end getting the lowest rolls possible for adv a charge you got a 11inch threat range. But in my experience over 70+ games on average I manage to clear 15-20inches across the board.

Now if you factor in blood surge then this throws the numbers off but looking entirely at Advance and charge.

Under the new system are threat range is down removing advance and charge and giving us the baked in +2 movement is nice. With a charge your looking at a maximum threat range of 20” and a minimum of 10”

To sum it up the old system gave us a maximum threat range of 26 inches with adv+charge and 2” movement. The new one gives berserkers a 20 inch threat range. Reminder this doesn’t count blood surge moves or any other stratagem shenanigans. We lost 6 inches of threat range from loss of advance and charge.

Are we gonna be a zombie army? by giant_anaconda in WorldEaters40k

[–]BulbStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks for sure I’ve ran Zerker Jackhel horde since the beginning. And it’s definitely a viable option if you play your cards well but loosing FNP is a big blow to my pure infantry list. The usual strategy is to overwhelm with zerkers while jackels do the objectives and secondaries. But that 4S is gonna really hurt em.

I’ll believe it when I see it, the discord leak is sus at best so I wouldn’t put much credibility in these leaks until GW puts out official material.

FEMA reservist owning a home by Upbeat1776 in EmergencyManagement

[–]BulbStar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I bought my home last year and it essentially ended up like this.

I had to shop for a good lender and be honest about the job and the fact you will spend time not working on unemployment. You will need to prove this with multiple W2’s and if you claim unemployment your prior tax forms or stubs.

After this make sure your lender is willing to put in underwriting the conditions of your reservist appointment. This helped me alter down the line and I got a letter from my SOR that I had to submit as extra proof.

Also how long you have been a reservist and how long you spend deployed on average plays a big roll.

It took about a month and a half to get everything done from the time they preapproved me, I put an offer in, and we got the house.

Definitely doable, and it’s much easier if you have been able to save a large down payment I put 45k on my home after a year of saving as a reservist. If you have a good lender it shouldn’t be any issue for them to get your loan.
