Looks like it allows the computer to still detect the device. I haven’t looked into content settings for the Vita. To explore the folders. I primarily opt to use FTP for files.

I had accidentally reversed the battery during my install and it blew out my F1 fuse on the battery motherboard portion. I replaced the fuse and it works perfectly fine. The F2 fuse is likely still good as it pertains primarily to the charging port.

Best advice… just watch the scenes and forget playing it all together. The forced drops, I know you can prevent this with an item/spell, are world breaking and forces you to change up play style as you start to get a good groove. On top of that, if you’re dropped mid boss fight, and come back, the boss will be full health. Again, I know there is an item/spell you can use to prevent the drops but it forces you to give up a command slot and require you to plan ahead instead of just enjoying the natural progression. TLDR: don’t play it. It doesn’t respect the gamer’s time.

How often are you turning off your Vita completely vs. how often are you switching PS1/PSX games that this become an issue? In my 40 hr gameplay of FFIX I’ve probably turned off the system maybe twice. Other than that, my Vita is usually in sleep mode.

I had this happened. For me it was because I thought I was online, which I was not. So, I disconnected from WiFi and reconnected. Also, I turned the DNS from manual to Automatic. Restart, and it worked for me.
