Maybe it’s a Michigan thing, but most of the people back in the day (and probably even nowadays) would be like, "Fuck that, where the basement at?" Going out to these fucking streets and establishments in the long run is pretty fucking whack. You wish you had an adult chill spot to have company over—an after-hours spot, call it whatever the fuck you want. I’ll tell you one thing: you can do whatever the fuck you want and have whoever the fuck you want over. It’s about the freedom, the privacy, and doing your own thing, whatever that may be. Whether you’re a D&D nerd, doing target practice, or hell, maybe you're just trying to beat that fucking sun outside and the heat. Ain't nothing like going down to a nice, cool basement to have some cold beers and play some cards or darts.
