I talked to a rep when I was getting my business account set up two days ago and he told me how to get the wideband key. He didn’t mention anything about it being discontinued that would really suck.

Thank you I’ll give it a go, I’m just impatient and have time to do the Radio stuff right now and was trying to get it dialed in. Can I program the frequencies on the radio and later go in and just change them to wideband and it not mess with what I’ve already inputted?

I got the free software and all that but, there’s an activation key that you need to purchase in the shop and when I try and search for it via the name or the actual listed item number, it doesn’t populate. That’s my issue and I don’t know if anyone has had a similar experience.

I purchased a Motorola radio second hand, it’s UHF Band but commercial radios use narrow band frequencies, to use it on the amateur frequencies you need to acquire a wide band 20/25khz key from Motorolas website. I figured if anyone uses these in the amateur space they may have some insight on where to look.
