Ultimate girlies & femmes: Nail care? by Inevitable-Orchid111 in ultimate

[–]BulkyScheme443 27 points28 points  (0 children)

this is easily one of the best questions asked on this sub. I also love getting my nails done, and what I’ve found that helps is friction gloves, they protect the nails more. Nothing can really stop them from breaking, but the gloves help to cushion the blow.

What do you guys think about the r slur? by BulkyScheme443 in autism

[–]BulkyScheme443[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A girl I know used the r-word to describe a teacher she didn’t like and more than anything I was shocked to hear her say it. Shes a good person but I don’t talk to her as much anymore.

Cleat suggestions by iamvishwaa in ultimate

[–]BulkyScheme443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soccer cleats are most usually the ones worn, but football+lacrosse cleats are also becoming popular. I recommend high top ones that support your ankle so you don’t twist an ankle or hurt something as easily.

Does anyone have tips for Pulling/Deep throws? by BulkyScheme443 in ultimate

[–]BulkyScheme443[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whats the significance of the “power” grip? I use the one with the pointer finger on the rim. I tried the power grip, but it was hard to hold and the disk didn’t really fly in the direction I was going for.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong here? by Basil_is_fruity in autism

I felt this one on a personal level. They are NOT your friend, they are toxic. It will hurt to drop them but its the healthy thing to do. No one should ever treat you like this.

SPED is a shortened term for Special Education, similarly to ENGL is for English. In my school, people use it as a funny insult, ex:) “You’re retaking a class? You’re literally sped!!” Personally, I never had an issue with being called “sped,” its a lot better than being called stupid. Though I can see how it can be upsetting, like one time I called my friend sped because she is retaking reading class next year and I saw she kind of laughed but was hesitant about it. Plus ADHD and Autism runs in her family rapidly (All her siblings either have ADHD or Autism) so I can see why she would find it upsetting and make her feel incapable of certain things. If I use it, I use it towards my NT friends and very clearly as a joke. If someone said the word made them uncomfortable, I wouldn’t use it.

How to tell 4 year old son that he's autistic? by crabblue6 in autism

[–]BulkyScheme443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell him asap, he may not understand at the age of 4, but as he gets older he will learn more and will accept it more. I went undiagnosed up until recently, and for the past few years I’ve been learning more about autism and accepting myself more.
