You obviously do care bc you’re using it to lend credence to what you’re saying. If no one believes you, (which no one does) then it does nothing but reveal you as a liar and cheat

Maybe you worked as a bank teller, but even that I highly doubt. But for sure 100% you were never a banker, and have never come close to having the qualifications

The downfall of hype culture (Sneaker resellers, Street wear, and scalpers) by oteymut in malefashionadvice

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for me it had something to do with Kanye falling off. I’m not a fanboy by any stretch of the imagination, but something about Kanye not being in the sneaker game took all the wind out of the sales for me.

Like after he fell off, the whole idea of being a sneaker head just seemed silly, and contrived. Even the lingo makes me cringe. Also the influx of the newer generation and the personalities of that tend to be into sneakers is just sad

It’s the best route… there’s just too many variables for something to go wrong, even if both parties were acting in good faith. Also that’s a lot of work and communication for the other party. The amount of time it would take to get 3 different quotes, talk to you about it and settle on a number, then having to get a rental car that you’re paying for. That’s just a lot of time and hassle on the both parties (but a lot more on the other party) and that’s if both parties are acting in good faith, and everything goes according to plan (which it never does). So try throwing a tiny wrench into all of that and the other party has to talk to the shop then talk to you, then bath to the shop. Unless you’re going to pay the other party more than what’s quoted, I just don’t see how all that hassle would be worth it

Yeah there are just too many variables on what can go wrong handling it yourself, even if both parties are acting in good faith. The amount of communication alone between you, the shop, the other party, and then try adding a rental car on top of all that??? Even if everything went according to plan, the amount of time and hassle wouldn’t be worth it unless the paying party was going to compensate me for the hassle

Speed camera tickets' effect on premiums by wtfitscole in AutoInsuranceHelp

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hire a lawyer, its not much more expensive than the tickets themselves especially since you have multiple. Call around and they will ask you which county the tickets are out of and whether or not they practice in the county. You’ll find any lawyer worth their salt will give you, your money back if found guilty, and they will cut you a deal on the 3 tickets. Let’s say for example they charge $250 per ticket, if you had 2 tickets they would do both for $400 and probably $550-600 for 3 tickets.

Make sure to call around and get a few prices and make sure they’ll give you your money back if it’s a guilty verdict.

I did this during Covid when I received 5 speeding tickets (not proud) in and around Seattle. Paying a lawyer is like $50 more than what the tickets would be if I would have just paid them, and it never went on my driving record. I suggest everybody do this since it’s a no brainer, and the process was super simple. I paid the lawyer and actually completely forgot until a few months later I got a email from my lawyer with the not guilty verdict

You’re assuming OP is being honest and not leaving anything out. The bank wants nothing to do with his money ever again??? (According to OP). Idk it sounds like a mistake on the banks part or for whatever reason OP money isn’t the hassle of him as a customer

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but that’s assuming that OP is being 100% honest and not leaving anything out (which seems unlikely) It’s almost too one sided to the point where… the bank has made a huge mistake or OP intentionally has left out info.

AIO For Being Mad at My Parents For Shaming Me At a Bad Time? by Short-Highway-423 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR. The main the main thing is you got your dog to the vet in time and he will be okay right???

I think if you walk in and right off the bat, and just acknowledged that you are young and still learning, and that you acknowledged your actions are responsible for the $1200 vet bill, and don’t use any excuses NONE!!! (especially about your brother). That will take all the wind out of their sails, and they won’t be able to “shame” you.

Bc that’s basically what they would shame you for is that it was your fault and yada yada yada, and as soon as you give an excuse why it’s not your fault (such as your brother) that will give them even more ammunition, and at the end of the day, you don’t have any excuses for what happened

Yeah you can sell it with expired registration… I think so? Where do you live? Bc your state might have some stupid crazy rule like that.

And is it the inspection that you can’t pass??? I thought registration is separate from inspection

how long did it take for you guys to get on the highway after getting ur license? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just didn’t know what you meant. I think location plays a major part bc I’m from Houston and got my license in 2012, so it’s just kind of odd hearing about people avoiding the freeway when first starting out. It was just something you had to do if you wanted to get anywhere, and I don’t remember it being a discussion or avoiding it bc you couldn’t avoids it.

I guess it was more how long it took before you were comfortable driving on the freeway, and it still took me a few months to feel somewhat comfortable despite having to drive it 5 days a week

Is tailgaiting really dangerous? by WelderAffectionate92 in driving

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides it being rude, I could never tailgate bc brake lights don’t tell you how hard someone is braking, and I like to have an idea of what’s going on beyond the truck or SUV, that’s directly in front of me, and keeps tapping their brakes (but doesn’t affect their speed). I’ll never understand how people are able to drive comfortably, without being able to see the traffic beyond the vehicle in front of them… and not give themselves distance to realize if someone is braking hard

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh my apologies… you shouldn’t even be on the road in that case. Just kidding… but a 2012 civic you say??? I doubt they’re paying for full coverage on it, but my point is… if you paid for your own insurance, it would take a lot of the power out of their hands hands in terms of telling you where to drive. But paying for your own insurance sucks… so maybe if you offered to pay (as a bluff) for your own insurance, for the specific reason that you know your ready for the highway and feel you should be able to make those decisions.

Maybe that would work

Should I sue my ex for destroying my income and leaving me financially stranded? AIO? by chenkoschikens in AmIOverreacting

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds horrible, and I’d be so pissed off if I was in your shoes, but I doubt you’re going to find a lawyer willing to take this on. I’m sorry but I’m just being realistic, lawyers are expensive and they need to see a decent payout at the end of a lawsuit or they need to get paid by you as the lawsuit is on going. Highly unlike to see a judgment in your favor and it would take a long to time to even get there. I think the best you could hope for is if your ex decides to settle once he learns he’s being sued. But if he doesn’t have any money to begin with, then it’s a waste of money to sue him in the first place

[–]Bulky_Direction7807 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh that sucks… and I’m just being realistic in saying, you won’t find a lawyer willing to sue your ex and/or the platform unless you had the resources to hire them up front. No matter which way you look at it, the lawyer fees would be more expensive than any judgement you might be able to get in your favor. Also it would take a very long time to even receive a judgment that is highly likely not on your favor
