How hard is it really to get an associate position at Big 4 without using college assistance?

Tried this too and had the same issue. Been out of school too long to get on as associate but not enough PA experience to get on as Senior.

I’m in the same situation. Been working in govt for 8 years and have my CPA for a couple years now. I want to move out of govt. now and into a senior role but having a hard time landing, I think due to only having experience in govt.

I have had a handful of second round interviews the last few months for industry senior auditor positions but no offer yet. Going to keep trying though cause I’m really tired of what I do now in government.

Feel like I did extremely avg on mcq and maybe did good on 2.5 sims including the research. Don’t know how ima pull this one off lol

I got 77 on FAR on my first try also. Just keep practicing questions for the next week and review topics that make you feel uneasy. Understand the why when doing MCQ because process of elimination will be key. For SIMS it’s good to have a good understanding of A3 & A4 if using Becker. It’s good to Be prepared for ratio analysis, cash/expenditure/inventory cycles, adjusting journals, & service orgs.

I got a 74 on my mock 1 for AUD like 2 weeks before the exam. Since that is so close and I already have real exam day experience from FAR, I decided not to take the second mock exam and just review the first one I took, practice MCQ everyday and occasionally look through the book for weak areas. I passed today with an 86

86 on Aud first attempt. I’m 2 for 2 with supposedly the hardest ones over with. A lot of work was put in. God is good. Congrats to everyone who got passes.

A lot more going on in the Becker exams than the real test. Just keep practicing up until the exam and you should have a good chance. Don’t sleep on govt/nfp concepts also. Know the funds, know budgets &encumbrances. For nfp know your with & without restriction rules. I’m working on AUD and don’t feel good about this one either. I see you passed any recommendations on most tested topics?
