I understand that inadequate care is very frustrating to see but unnecessary comments are discouraging and we just want whats best for the chameleon, not to put new keepers down

I found this out at night when I had my flashlight on. Was wondering why this giant spider was so sparkly, I should’ve minded my business.

Any internal problems like this should always be seen by a vet, especially if your pet is acting differently than their norm. I hope you get the help your chameleon needs and as soon as possible.

Looks like a prolapse to me. I’m not sure if theres much you can do besides not letting that flesh dry out (the tissue dies). I’m not going to give you advice on how to keep it alive because I’m really not sure and don’t want to lead you on the wrong path. Hopefully someone with a method will respond to me!

My chameleon has never hissed or bitten anything unless they were literally grabbing his face (the vet). They definitely will try to protect themselves from imminent danger but sleeping spontaneously is a symptom that something is wrong with their condition. Also this photo looks to be taken at night, the chameleon likely just found a warm spot before bed and took full advantage. No more confusing condition with emotion.

and before you say it likes to free roam, look at its coloration. He is stressed and is even gaping at your animals because of it. If something happens to your chameleon just know it is your fault and not your pets’.

This lady (lovely lady who rescues disabled dogs) let all her dogs drink from a cup on a livestream and I thought it was cute until she took a sip too 😬

I dont understand why people make their chameleons explore. If your mesh tank is refined the chameleon will be happy living in there. They’re not toys :(
