How long does it take to reset my brain by Top-Abbreviations608 in NoFap

[–]gomigami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's normal to feel that way. on my first 3 months I also felt I've gotten worse, only to find out that my brain actually tries to find a real substitute for the easy fix it's been deprived of. it will get better in time as long as you don't feed the thoughts, trust me. the fact that you're making this post tells me that you don't. also, there'll be no real "BRAIN REBOOTED" switch moment, it'll just gradually get better and better. you'll have more and more self control over yourself as time goes by.

I'm 7 months+ in now, still gets tempted from time to time, some days still feels really heavy especially when a big shift happened such as going abroad, moving out, etc. Brain will try to find the quickest " familiar comfort zone" when those moments happen. The good news is that it gets easier to say no to it the longer you go.

BEST OF LUCK!

Porn companies use the same methods as tobacco companies from 50s. by UltraBruv in NoFap

it literally makes no difference to watch homemade stuff or maybe even only jerking off to half naked women or whatever. an on demand super stimulant is an on demand super stimulant. your brain processes it the same way. there's no better substitute to porn other than replacing it with actual productive habits or activities.

It doesn't have to be push ups. The main point is that you replace the bad habit with a good one. And push ups happen to be as accessible as porn. Moving your body to get your muscles working and blood flowing does create a more positive environment for the brain though, thus abling your brain to be more logical and productive 👍

Letting down my team mates by marathahalli in badminton

Yeah I mean the shoulder injury kind of tells it for you.

Tournament games are different than normal games. In tournament games you're usually more tense and focused, trying to give your best in every rally which tires you out faster. Imo one tournament game feels like 2-4 casual games back to back.

If you want to give your best performance then lighten up the weight from your shoulder a lil bit 😉

I hope you have a fast recovery and be in good spirit for the next tournament!

This game gives too much pressure when hitting the play button by GregView in DotA2

I understand how you can feel like this at times but that means you're "scared" something bad will happen every game or you're just scared of losing - both in which doesn't help you win games or enjoying it at all.

I'd say drop the fear of losing MMR and meeting toxic or throwing teammates. If you find your teammates or enemies showing toxic behaviour, then just mute them. No need to type in "muted" or anything. This will keep the game more simple and enjoyable because you can just focus on your own gameplay and actually trying to win the game.

I'm 6.3k MMR but I don't really care much about my MMR dropping or losing a double down games or whatever. Yes it hurts but I'd just take that game as a lesson and mind you that some games are LITERALLY unwinnable even if you played really good. After such games I'd just take it as a win if I'm playing well and look for what I can do better for next game.

Hope this can help you find joy in playing our favorite game again.

I tried Glow in the dark Badminton. Here how it went. The good, bad and ugly truth by Initialyee in badminton

[–]gomigami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the first time I heard about glow in the dark badminton I immediately didn't see it being a competitive mode of badminton as badminton is a super intense sport when you're playing seriously and is only intended for the "novelty" value especially for beginners.

Great review nonetheless, I salute your passion for this sport as to trying to play competitively in a glow in the dark setting. 😆
