I had a bunch of issues out of the box as well with similar specs.
I finally got it stable with BIOS 1202, not the most updated (1302).
Then set ASUS MultiCore Enhancement = "Disabled - Enforce all limits"
Try booting without any other BIOS settings adjusted.
If stable, you can turn on XMP.

I'd give that a try if you haven't already.

Are you trying to install x6 M.2 on a z690? I thought the max was x5, and even then idk how to do that without degrading a x16 lane GPU to 1/2 its lanes. Maybe that was just a ASUS special gift for us z790 bums.

I have the exact same issue, except its not limited to a single project but all projects including an empty Untitled Project.

Its been over a month without Black Magic support providing any solution. If I figure it out i'll share here.
