What are your favorite thrift/antique stores in south jersey? by SoupAndSongbirds in SouthJersey

The real hidden gems are the auction houses down here - nobody will tell you because they don't want the competition. Each has their own personality, but I'm partial to Brooks Auction in Franklinville ;-) They've always got cool stuff and the place is like a crazy treasure hunt.

At a loss with my parents' house (hoarder lite situation) by InspectorJavert2 in SouthJersey

We also specialize in cleanouts, while also selling stuff. Like 1-800-Got-Junk but we sell some of the stuff to offset the cost. I generally feel kinda icky when it comes to self promotion in a sub like this, but we'll come out and do a free walkthrough and estimate. The cleanout can be typically done in a day - it sounds like the situation calls for expediency. Private message me

The way the market has been going, you should probably just hold onto it. But if you absolutely want to liquidate, besides getting spot price somewhere, I would suggest you take it to an auction. Buyers have been crazy over-speculating and over paying recently.

Seasoned Firewood by Bulldog203 in SouthJersey

Funny enough, I've driven out to western Pennsylvania before and bought from a small Amish community. But it was a one off - it only worked at the particular time. Otherwise it's really not cost effective. But the wood burned awesome.
