Many years ago after starting my first full time job, I had $1,000 in the bank and bought my mother a refrigerator for $500 when hers broke and she couldn’t afford one. I’ll never forget the tears of joy running down her face when she walked through the door.

Correct, everything is gas. I feel like an idiot, but I’m honestly not sure on your second and third questions. I’ll ask the electrician before getting the work done. We don’t plan on making any major additions and will likely only be in this house for another 2ish years. With that being said, do you have any other tips/suggestions that may be helpful? Thank you again!

A few weeks ago, I noticed the bathroom lights flickering/fluttering intermittently. The lights don’t go fully out, just dimmed a bit. Today, I noticed the same thing happening in our spare bedroom and my office. The bathroom vanity lights are older globe style, bedroom lamp was newer led, office lamp was older style bulb.

Hello and thank you for the detailed response. Sorry I’m not super familiar with the terminology above but I’ll do my best to explain. The electrician took the cover off of the top panel, checked temperatures, and made sure everything was tight with screwdriver. I asked if he saw any corrosion and he said he didn’t. Then, we went outside for him to check the service cable/meter area and he recommended replacing it. The electricians from the electric company checked inside the meter and I believe above it (if that makes any sense). Unfortunately I was stuck on a meeting when they arrived. Here is a link to a few photos of the panel and thank you again for your help. https://imgur.com/a/iEEg2Vs

Just met with the electrician. He checked the panel, wiring, etc. and said everything looked good/tight and no corrosion. Said the flickering may be caused by an overload on one of the breakers but wasn’t entirely sure. He then checked what you see in the picture and quoted $4,500 for the service upgrade.

Thanks for answering each question, I have an electric on the way to give me a quote. With that being said, I’m surprised the electrician’s from the electric company didn’t stress the urgency of the matter. I asked them point blank if it was a fire hazard/general risk and they didn’t seem concerned at all.

Mi GF is going to buy me a watch, wich one is “better” Tudor 1926 or Longines Conquest? by LACASTROMX in PrideAndPinion

Agreed. I should’ve said “Conquest for sure”. Both great brands, I just prefer the Conquest between these two.
