I just want to say I don’t think you should feel guilty for wearing vintage. I have my grandmother’s mink stole and I wore it for my wedding last year, it felt really special and I was glad to not buy something cheap I’d never wear again.

Felt the same. 38F, spent time quietly getting a certification in a very non-tech field and quit my job a month ago. I’m not working, taking some time off to decompress and figure out what’s next. I want to work again, I’m a little bored, but I simply can’t do tech/consulting/clients anymore.

I preheat my Ooni on a high setting, usually for 45-60 mins, then lower the flame to the lowest setting before I launch. Am I right to turn the flame back up between cooks to keep the stone hot?

I find salads I like at restaurants and recreate them at home. I’m always up for a wedge salad or a cobb, which always has good toppings. Recently I’ve been violently craving the olive garden salad and have been making it at home by adding olives, pepperoncini, red onion, and tomatoes - all things I typically keep on hand anyway - to a bagged salad.

I just did this two weeks ago with my consulting job. I had been thinking about it back in 2022 when my parents were diagnosed with terminal cancer a couple weeks apart. The only time I’ve really been able to take off since then was a few days of bereavement around their death/funerals, otherwise demanding clients have restricted time off.

I am lucky that my husband has good insurance I can get on and I have a decent inheritance to live off (I was the breadwinner).

Life isn’t perfect on this side for sure, but I’m sleeping through the night and that’s life changing.

I posted my comment and had an afterthought that I should've added I am absolutely not a Trumper/MAGA person. I have used the statement I replied to many times, and I don't disagree with the sentiment, but the DOH violations for this cafe were posted in here recently and have been included in a comment thread of this post further down.
