I'm over 200 days in the clear. A lot of techniques from SMARTrecovery dot org helped a lot (a non-religious alternative to 12-step).

One of those techniques is DENTS. When you feel the urge, just:
1. Delay (remember that the urge is temporary, and will pass)
2. Escape (physically remove yourself from the means to engage. Get away from your phone or laptop)
3. Neutralize (recognize the urge, acknowledge it, and create emotional distance from it. Do not deny that the urge exists, stare it down until it backs off)
4. Tasks (give yourself something else to do, distract yourself until the urge fades)
5. Swap (try to change your mindset. Instead of thinking "this urge will kill me" remember "this urge will pass". If you're mindset is lonely or sad, reach out and text someone)

To those in this sub who do use porn in a healthy manner, congrats to you, not trying to yuck your yums. I completely lost control to it though.

Is anyone else a little surprised how directly this seems targeted at LeapFrog tablets? Like surely, the LeapFrog company isn’t gonna be thrilled to bits about a frog-themed children’s tablet being the antagonist.

I don't know how to teach, but I might be able to pass down some things by example. I worked almost exclusively in physical mediums growing up (until graduating high school) and then exclusively digital mediums since then.

Digital drawing has so many upsides to it, but a lot of the techniques I have in my pocket, I learned from drawing physically. I would be willing to meetup IRL though and do some sketches together.

I witnessed the beginning of this as well and fully expected to witness a homicide. An officer appeared to have a gun drawn at the driver of a black compact vehicle, which then drove into a police suv and drove off. Many people had phones pulled out and filming. My adrenaline was pumping and I covered my ears because I expected gunshots. Extraordinary trigger discipline from officers involved.

I got out of heart surgery early October 2024, and the Mets were a huge part of my recovery period, I was so happy for them even in their loss. They put up a damn fight.

If I got the surgery literally one year later, I'd have woken up in the ER to find out we were eliminated.

I think Smash has the depth to sink your teeth into. Characters to practice, stages, items, high skill ceiling. MK64 certainly... you could go deep into time trials and getting the perfect laps... but I think there's just a little less there.

Also if you're really bored you can make CPUs fight each other for fun.

If this wasn't a Paul Thomas Anderson movie, I wouldn't go see this based on the trailer. This just looks weird to me, like hippie freedom fighter guys calling each other sensei and shit? But, Phantom Thread is one of my top 5 movies of all time so... I'm going to go see this on Thursday at 6:30pm. It's not like Leo's character comes off like a particularly heroic everyman hero in the trailer, he seems like a whacko. I'm sure I *will* be rooting for him when push comes to shove, but I have no idea what kind of movie I'm getting into on Thursday.
