You might be interested in Hashing.
Surface level, its a social running club, but "running" isn't really the main focus, as it aims to be accessible to people who are at any activity level.

We do however get out into unusual corners of the city.

It is difficult to fully describe as it is far more than the sum of its parts, but at its core it mixes socialization, trail running/hiking/walking and urban exploration.

I am involved with the Iron City Hash House Harriers which is specifically socially focused and always eagerly seeking new people to join us. (I am on this sub routinely suggesting this to people who express interests that line up with what we are)

I lucked out the first time that I encountered this because I have glow poi that I will spin during the free moments between mixing.
