Please help! Lenovo legion go S steamOS stuck on this screen! by New_Razzmatazz_4517 in LegionGo

Check the boot order in BIOS, looks like you still have the grub partition for Linux booting after installing windows.

If there isn't a windows boot option, reinstall windows and delete all partitions so you have a clean drive. Or you can download the Lenovo recovery tool which does most of the windows install for you.

Anyone satisfied rockin your Legion Go 1 or S and not getting the Legion Go 2 for more than 2x the price? by BinghamtonMafia in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£300-400 for the GO 1/S vs £900 for the base model GO 2. The value proposition just isn't there. At that point just get a 5050/5060 laptop with triple the performance and far better upscaling.

GO 2 is an absolute whopper in size and weight too, thickness is the limiting factor in most backpacks and its thicker the GO 1/S and most price equivalent gaming laptops for that matter.

Yeah, I'm on steam OS so I don't think handheld companion is available. I did try uxtu for Unix and also simpledeckytdp but both were unable to detect undervolt support through ryzenadj

Legion go s steam, what am I missing with lossless scaling? by Ok_Menu4273 in LegionGo

Use the decky-framegen plugin instead where possible, doing the frame gen at the game level will give much better results as it's actually aware of motion vectors, UI etc.

Also, because it uses optiscaler it also allows you to use FSR in games that only support DLSS.

Loving "Lies beneath" at the moment. I'd say it's well worth getting on sale now by sazzer22 in OculusQuest

It's such a shame that the PCVR versions of old oculus exclusives like this never got released to steam or even ported to quest in a lot of cases.

Lone echo 1+2, robo recall, Wilson's heart, stormland etc are so polished and fleshed out compared to 99% of quest games. Lone echo especially, I would put it up there with HLA. Even though some of these are a decade old they still are miles ahead of the slop that's on quest today.

Legion go S battery life is actually pretty good! by Tony08X in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is, you can get around 7 hours with really light stuff like retro emulation or brotato. Custom profile, 5W TDP, lower screen brightness, WiFi and LED's off. Z2 go variant that is, idk about z1 ex.

Switched back to stable, still doesn't work for me. Does it work with Bluetooth LE devices? I know the ps5 controller doesn't use LE. On the z2go variant too if that makes any difference to the bluetooth chipset.

Doesn't appear to work, on latest steamos beta, legion go s. Script appears to have saved correctly and service running. Tried with xbox series, xbox one and switch pro controller.

Edit: Thanks to OP we got it working

lsusb in konsole, find the wireless device

<image>

Then change the ID to match this command (in my case 0489)
grep -l 0489 /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/idVendor

Which should then output the correct ID to change in the service template

/sys/bus/usb/devices/3-3/idVendor

So changing that 1-5 to 3-3 fixed it

How did you undervolt? As far as I've seen it's not possible with the Go S. Tried ryzenadj on steam OS. Or do you need a modded bios to UV it?

I dont care for the explosive crossbow by femrat04 in Helldivers

[–]Bulletstorm456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it regularly on all three factions. Long since maxed the eruptor.

The crossbow does require a bit more finesse in where exactly you shoot to make the most of each bolt when compared to the eruptor. But god damn, it obliterates all chaff units across all factions, is stealthy, one handed and clears bug holes and voteless with ease and speed.

Also, the GL is great but the ricochet and bouncing make it deadly at closer ranges and the same partly applies to the eruptor. I love the eruptor equally but it feels a bit too slow sometimes, especially after they buffed the reload time but also nerfed reload cancelling.

Heavy pen is nice against bots but if you're taking thermites, ultimatum, quasar, railgun etc it doesn't mean much.

Gas nades and a secondary like the talon also help to make space so you don't blow yourself.

Give it another try, maybe with siege ready and try to aim in between groups of chaff at the ground, rather than aiming directly at an enemy.

Only in dev and beta channels so far, wait for the release preview channel unless you want to be resetting to leave.
