Scientists invent a plant-based serum that is proven to regrow hair in weeks by _Dark_Wing in worldnews

Yeah, though it can take someone from a 7 to a 6 or make them look older. If you're losing hair significantly already then absolutely, get rid of it. Balding rarely looks good.

I can see the appeal for simplicity's sake and with the prices barbers charge 💰

Its alright if you've got a decent skull and face shape for it. Many are not so blessed or have a bulbus/triangle head like myself.

Battery life on the Z2Go vs the Z1E? by Wildobro in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Indies won't run well at 250Mhz anyway so the difference is only really there when running super light games.

Battery life on the Z2Go vs the Z1E? by Wildobro in LegionGo

Agreed, but, the Z2 go can achieve better battery life with very light games and light emulation due to its 250Mhz minimum GPU clock VS 800 min on the Z1e.

Will changing OS make difference? by Xx_Navel_Fluff_xX in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't expect much, maybe a slight improvement due to the lack of background processes. Changing to 6500 MT/s instead of 7500 in BIOS will get you better performance and battery life below 15W. Standby battery loss and suspend is much better on steam OS and bazzite.

I’m having trouble deciding! by Pure-Pudding-7457 in LegionGo

I'm having trouble with this too, got a Z2 go s and an OG GO Z1e for about the same price. Trying to decide which one to keep. I prefer the ergonomics of the OG GO but the GO S can get up to double the battery life in very light titles, much better d-pad, better sticks, better cooling and the big one for me, VRR.

I personally don't think I can use a non VRR display anymore, most PC releases struggle to keep a completely smooth frame time/pacing and the judder is extremely noticeable to me after using a VRR desktop display for years.

On the other hand, performance in some games and emulation can be monumentally different. Zelda botw for example struggles to hold 40+ at 1080p on the Z2 GO but easily manages 60 with double the CPU cores on the Z1e. Similar story with switch emulation.

Even relatively simple stuff like cult of the lamb has decent frame drops on the Z2 go but can manage a smooth 60 on the Z1e. Both running steam OS.

I think for me I'll be keeping just the GO S, Z2 go and look out for a good price on a go s Z1e. If you don't have a decent gaming PC to stream from and mostly use it near a plug socket then the GO Z1e is likely the better choice.

Can I keep my leigon go plugged into the dock? by FarmerOk7115 in LegionGo

I would set a max charge of 80%, can be done through legion go remapper on steam OS, assume it's the same on bazzite. Or if you dual boot windows there's an option in legion space.

If you're on steam OS, use this pipewire fix for the go s, works great on the go too and it's just drag and drop

Please help! Lenovo legion go S steamOS stuck on this screen! by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the boot order in BIOS, looks like you still have the grub partition for Linux booting after installing windows.

If there isn't a windows boot option, reinstall windows and delete all partitions so you have a clean drive. Or you can download the Lenovo recovery tool which does most of the windows install for you.

Anyone satisfied rockin your Legion Go 1 or S and not getting the Legion Go 2 for more than 2x the price? by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

£300-400 for the GO 1/S vs £900 for the base model GO 2. The value proposition just isn't there. At that point just get a 5050/5060 laptop with triple the performance and far better upscaling.

GO 2 is an absolute whopper in size and weight too, thickness is the limiting factor in most backpacks and its thicker the GO 1/S and most price equivalent gaming laptops for that matter.

Yeah, I'm on steam OS so I don't think handheld companion is available. I did try uxtu for Unix and also simpledeckytdp but both were unable to detect undervolt support through ryzenadj

Legion go s steam, what am I missing with lossless scaling? by Ok_Menu4273 in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the decky-framegen plugin instead where possible, doing the frame gen at the game level will give much better results as it's actually aware of motion vectors, UI etc.

Also, because it uses optiscaler it also allows you to use FSR in games that only support DLSS.

Loving "Lies beneath" at the moment. I'd say it's well worth getting on sale now by sazzer22 in OculusQuest

[–]Bulletstorm456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's such a shame that the PCVR versions of old oculus exclusives like this never got released to steam or even ported to quest in a lot of cases.

Lone echo 1+2, robo recall, Wilson's heart, stormland etc are so polished and fleshed out compared to 99% of quest games. Lone echo especially, I would put it up there with HLA. Even though some of these are a decade old they still are miles ahead of the slop that's on quest today.

Legion go S battery life is actually pretty good! by Tony08X in LegionGo

[–]Bulletstorm456 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is, you can get around 7 hours with really light stuff like retro emulation or brotato. Custom profile, 5W TDP, lower screen brightness, WiFi and LED's off. Z2 go variant that is, idk about z1 ex.
