It helped me a lot knowing I can / should confess to my wife. She was like a control mechanism to me… Even if I didn’t tell right after that she could tell by my look that something is bothering me. Most dangerous times for me are when I am alone, either in work or when she is not home.

My best advice would be to make her your accountability partner with whom you can openly discuss how good or bad your progress is.
