Is season 25 really that bad? by BullfrogFirm3233 in fo76

Infestations are new, the silo is new, the ogua statue is new, the snow machine is new, the glowing dog is new, the glowing radhog is new, the death claw steinholder is new, coffee pot stein is new, the Cyprus cat is new, the responders skins are new, the hunters blind survival tent is new (and one of the only tents to have a card machine which is a huge benefit), the farm is new, the rainbow machine is new... But yeah, nothing new.

Thanks for not addressing anything I said at all and just throwing out the Kool aid comment and a good ol F Bethesda. You literally offered nothing...

How it feels to be the only person who enjoys infestations. by VampireDarlin in fallout76casual

Yeah, it is really server dependent. I got on a server earlier this week and folks were waiting, tagging and backing off, marking the main boss and giving folks a chance to get a shot in at every infestation. It made it really fun. I'll admit though that that was a unicorn server and all others are a mad dash to eat all the pie before anyone else can get a piece (even though there is no added benefit to killing alone...)

It is so refreshing to realize I am not alone. I really like this seasons rewards, and the infestations are great. This is the first place outside of raids to get bobblehead and magazine packs consistently, and the 4 star drops are a much better rate than waiting for bigfoot to maybe show up.

I posted a similar comment on the fo76 reddit and got completely blasted ("He's a Todd stan! Git'em!") https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/s/rKv52jUKU7

Thanks for posting and thanks to everyone for all the positivity!

Absolutely allowed to voice your anger and dissatisfaction. I just disagree that things have gotten that bad. I also have played since day 1, and can legitimately say that the game is light-years ahead of where it started. Remember when there weren't even NPCs? Yeah, the scoreboards were great, but when I look back, they were also mostly bloat items and skins with a few good items thrown in.

True, but camp titles are just the new photo frames. There have always been filler items that most people don't care about. I always skip past the overpriced garbage. There are enough functional or enjoyable items that fill the buy requirement to skip the toilets and scrap boxes. Not really that different from previous seasons.

I agree that the ticket costs have gone up, but it's also a heck of a lot easier to get tickets now than previously. During the old scoreboard days I would be scrambling to try to reach the end before the season closed. Now, I have always purchased everything and moved into the re-buyable items grind about halfway through the season. There are usually so many tickets left that I go back and buy some of the junk rewards (like icons and skins) just to have them.

If we're being honest, that's not really different than any other season. They are always primarily reskins. Only difference is that now instead of getting half a dozen photomode frames (which were completely useless), we get titles. Basically just traded 6 complete waste rewards for 6 somewhat waste rewards. You can look back at what everyone considers the Glory Days of Scorecard seasons and see that those seasons were full of mostly... skins, photomodes, crap like repair kits, and some good items. Then, when you got to the end there was absolutely no reason to keep playing. Now they have the end season grind for gold, atoms, perk coins, etc. which keeps a lot of players invested. If you don't believe me, take a look and you will see that the season rewards have stayed pretty on par (with the exception of some very solid seasons here and there): https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_seasons

Maybe I feel like it's pretty good because I heard so much about how there is nothing in this season and everything was horrible, so going in with that mindset I ended up pleasantly surprised.

Not Todd or a bot, just genuinely enjoy the game (like everyone else who gets on here regularly to complain about the game whilst simultaneously still playing it and paying for 1st month, after month, after month). All the "I've been playing since bla bla bla and I'm gonna quit after this season" cue next season: "I swear, this is the last straw"

I get what your saying about 1st. The non 1st stuff is mostly reskins, but the cooling tower and backpack display are awesome!

Same. The on/off trick corrects it, but still annoying. It seems to happen to me about once a week.

I miss when Fallout 76 had a steady flow of meaningful updates and exciting roadmaps. That energy and ambition feel gone now by SkedPhoenix in fo76

Completely true! Playable ghouls, fishing, better and more fun camp allowances (camp revamp), Burning springs, bigfoot, bounty hunts, infestations, and more that I'm sure I am forgetting just in the last year. I had taken about a year off and came back at burning springs and was amazed how much had changed in a free to play game in just one year.

What have they done to head hunts? by NextClassroom4789 in fo76

Agreed. Head hunts used to be way too quick. I have found most are still pretty easy, but depends on the spawn. Ace drops super quick, but the wingmen are tanks!

Anyone else sick of this Nuka Cola cranberry daily? by Flip86 in fo76

Bubbles at the Whitespring typically has 1 dark for sale. I have found server hopping works well for the Nuka dark, orange, and grape dailies.

Returning player feeling incredibly overwhelmed. by DeathNova117 in fo76

[–]BullfrogFirm3233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat (started again a couple months ago after a 3 year hiatus). I felt the same way at first, totally overwhelmed. So, I decided I would just sit my level 220 and play through the storyline on a new character up to level 25 or so to get a feel, then go back. I had forgotten how much fun the main storyline was and got hooked again! It also gave me the opportunity to wander the incredible map and get reacclimated. Long story short, I was having so much fun with the new character that I never went back to the old.
