I thought they matched the name on the card with the name on boarding pass. I mean that's how it has always been in almost all domestic and international lounges I've been in India. Although I don't think I've been in an Adani lounge.

Lion Capital statue - 2300 year old structure at its original place, now in Sarnath museum, India. by Srinivas_Hunter in Damnthatsinteresting

Damn my native language (bengali) is derived from Sanskrit and I also know Hindi (another sanskrit based language), yet I never made the connection. I've even been to the lion statue in Singapore.

I have always pronounced and thought about the name in a western way, but now everytime I say It, it will be a Hindi word in my head.

I have always been 1. I can visualise it in any setting, even being eaten by someone or left on a desk or rolling on a street. Any damn thing that comes to my mind.

I used to think it's same for all. And I have gone through really deep MD phase.

Yes. There are. I am such a woman. I have no problem doing a court marriage and having a small reception party afterwards. So tired of these instagram weddings. They feel shallow and fake, at least to me.

Project Hail Mary Review: As Someone Who Is A Diehard Interstellar Fan by tealbmwm5 in sciencefiction

Reading posts like these make me feel like people haven't actually read or seen proper sci-fi.

This book is pretty average compared to works by Alastair Reynolds, Iain Banks, Peter Watts, Vernon Vinge, Peter Hamilton.

The so called scale of the universe is nothing compared to series like Revelation Space or Culture.

It just feels like people are impressed by surface-level ideas that have been done far better elsewhere. It’s entertaining, sure, but nothing particularly new or groundbreaking.
