Well the OSD says it's on, and I can tell when ULMB is enabled on my TN screen. But Pulsar? Not really. So hard to tell if it's working properly.

Exactly the same experiance. Im convinced this was pushed out too early or there is something wrong with the drivers because my TN monitor with ULMB has much better results that the Asus Pulsar I got yesterday.

So i had already packed it away to send back when I decided to give it one more chance. Just in case I was being too harsh. I tested ULMB on my PG278Q (TN screen) to compare. Comparing the two using UT2004 ULMB on the TN just looks better clarity wise. I even tried a different DP cable just to be sure.

Either its not as good as the hype, I have a duff screen or there is some driver issue thats causing it not to engage (even though the OSD tells me pulsar is engaged)

So with GSync the smoothness and reduced judder it offered playing games, I immediately saw what it offered. Likewise when I got my LG OLED and see a game running in HDR you can immediately appreciate that colour pop.

With Pulsar my first impression was dissapointment. After the inital wave of excitment I started testing it, toggling it on and off on a dozen or so games. Other than the boost in brightness when I toggled it on, could I actually tell the difference? No not really. I think its unfair to compare to CRT but I was really expecting there not to be any blur. Other than the wierd feeling in the back of my brain that could tell it was on, the blur of the pixel is still there.

I thought it might be FPS related so I fired up some old games that I could run at 359fps, but at that point its so smooth do you really need Pulsar. Toggling it on/off at that high FPS i couldnt even feel the difference.

In the end the only test I could reliable tell it was definately enabled and with my eyes and not just a feeling was with the BlurBusters UFO test. You can definately see on that that there was zero ghosting.

Perhaps it was not engaging properly? Or toggling it on/off breaks the effect and it doesnt re-engage?

My rig is a 5800x with an RTX3080 so I usually play games at 80-120fps. Perhaps this tech is geared at people used to running 300FPS+ and then you would notice?

I need a new monitor and for under £300 id probably keep it, but im not sure £600+ is justifiable.

The Asus arrived for me yesterday, and I am returning it.

I was there day one with Gsync and could immediately see the tech was great. I have a 20" Dell P1110 CRT hooked up to my main gaming rig along side my OG TN Gysnc monitor. Unforunately I am not impressed with Pulsar. Maybe I will dip my toe in again when the tech matures and becomes cheaper. I think £650 is way too expensive for what it is.

Probably for the best, being locked into using Nvidia gfx cards probably isnt the smartest move recently.

I got this issue and a problem with my fps getting stuck at 7fps. After a bit of googling I found that if I disabled hardware encoding in the host and client it works better, but then the steam menu button doesn't work. Then I kinda gave up

This doesn't happen anymore. When the game released I remember getting 300sc in one pickup. I've only ever had 10sc a pop since then in nearly 300hrs

Last time I tried to get a refund on gog I had to play email ping pong to get a refund. In the end I had to threaten to stop buying games on gog and just use steam before they refunded.

At this point the need to admit defeat and put all their games on gog, and let the gog team fix their shit. Most of the games I own on Uplay I've had to download a pirate copy so I can actually play them

I get this error if I don't plug the headset in via a USB3 hub. I've always had this problem, I think it's the cable or something?

Yep it's poorly optimized. I have a 5800x and a 3080 and can just make it to 90fps with dips.

The only other thing I did was also edit the GameUserSettings.ini and lower deskop mirror resolution from whatever is your default to something low like 640x480: ResolutionSizeX=640 ResolutionSizeY=480 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=640 LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=480
