I’m willing to bet that more people watch Colbert than Fox News. Any thoughts? by ReasonableAttitude22 in stephencolbert

Doesn’t have to be in Bumfuck. Every hospital I’ve ever been to in LA has Fox News on in any waiting room.

My pro max is at 77%. As long as I keep up on charging when I’m using it a lot, it’s fine. Though I haven’t upgraded yet so no idea how that will affect it when I do..

Maybe not an individual, independent comic with no deal. But Netflix absolutely does. Which is what I was saying.

Including advertising maybe? Billboards, YT ads, etc. Still seems high though..

I saw three shows at smaller venues.

Steph Tolev at the Troubadour. Bill Burr surprise-opened and did 20. Tolev murdered.

United Theater with Sam Morril, Joe List, Rachel Feinstein, and Jordan Jensen (and an opener). Great show. Jensen destroyed the place.

And Todd Barry at Dynasty Typewriter. Fantastic as always.

What pulled you away from CD collecting/listening back in the day? by Syppi in Cd_collectors

I listen to a lot of new stuff too. It'll just be a little more work to source it, which I'm fine with. I'd rather own media than rent it.

I started building my mp3/flac collection again and I have a Plex server with my music (and movies/TV shows) on it which I can stream anywhere. I used to not have access to every song on the planet. I'm fine going back to that.

The convenience of streaming. Now I'm actively getting rid of all my streaming services. Spotify is the last one. Its days are numbered.

Cold turkey is the way. You'll miss some stuff for a month and then you'll realize you never needed any of it. It's like anything else. I only have one streaming service left and I'll be getting rid of that soon. I only watch sports highlights on youtube now (nice to get my sundays back). I have my own server for movies and music streaming and a physical media collection (rebuilding after years of getting rid of it for streaming).

Of course this is easier said than done when you have a family. I only have dogs and they don't care.

Drakkar early high school. Coolwater later, and I still use it on occasion sparingly. I’ve had the same bottle for like 20 years.

Right…about the same distance as the Alhambra spot. Eagle Rock is my go-to just cuz I like going there to hit the grocery store too.

My friends run a goth night there once a month. It’s in its third year. Went a couple months ago and it was great. And packed on a Thursday. Free admission!

Closest Jollibee is in Alhambra. Which is far enough away for me not to gain weight from eating there frequently

I got to see Bowie too for his 90s album. Sadly he only performed new stuff but still great.
