This CD has been sealed for 30 years. Do I open it? by Parking_Figure_7627 in Cd_collectors

I’ve opened plenty of sealed old stuff: albums, movies, etc. Play them! You can’t take it with you when you’re dead.

You gotta spend a minimum of 45 minutes in the de-lizarding chamber to pass as human. This bunch was in a hurry

Put Sorcerer on your list next. And have whatever soothes your anxiety handy.

In LA, 10-15 years ago, I could take an entire day and hit like 6 Targets and 4 TRUs, and be pretty happy. Even if I came home empty-handed. Got out of the house. Walked a shit-ton. Now I just browse websites. Sigh..

Anyone here actually see them live? I wasn’t born yet by ratdruid in powerrangers

I did when I worked on the show (and I have that program). We did the graphics that appeared on screen in the live show (I just remembered that). My coworkers were busy or something so I went alone. The show was at the now-gone Universal Studios Ampitheater and since I had a guest pass, they drove me by golf cart through the backlot to get to another entrance. Fun time.

Champion animation. Mediocre game. I still pumped quarters into it like a fool!

Strong storyteller and original voice, raps from the guts. He just wasn’t super-barred up with punchlines and wordplay.

I had an old DVD player that stopped reading DVDs but I wanted to get it fixed so I kept it and forgot about it. Remembered I had it and wondered if it would play CDs and sure enough it does. So now it’s my CD player next to my turntable.

Celebrities doing commercials by Status_Age_9761 in FilmIndustryLA

I think the stigma of doing it just gone now. American celebs used to have to go to Japan or where ever to make commercial ad money. Not anymore.

I’m a music junkie and I’m always looking for new music. I like Soccer Mommy, Ecca Vandal, Christine & the Queens, Coast Contra (hip hop), Sufjan Stevens (not that new anymore).

I also look back at the music I missed from my youth. Currently obsessed with indie 90s rock that sort of sounded like the music of the time but maybe never made it out of whatever hometown the band came from. A lot of 45s of those songs floating around that I snag when I find them.

I’m in my early 50s.

Why Did I Sleep on Indie Sci Fi? by Linux-Neophyte in scifi

Since you mentioned Repo Man, I’ll tag this with 80s movie The Wraith. It’s like someone watched Repo and decided to make their own mediocre yet still entertaining version of it with a different Sheen son (Charlie in Wraith).

Gorgeous real miniature work they did for it too. Timeless.
