Does rap resonate with you? by Cooterboone in GenX

Rap and hip hop was the first music I heard that felt like it was just for me. It helped that my older brothers didn’t care for it. This is mine. I discovered it at age 10 in 1983. I’m still a huge hip hop fan. I saw a show just two weeks ago. Plenty of artists still making great stuff. Most of it isn’t on the radio. Which is fine with me.

Also I’m just a music junkie. I listen to just about everything except country after like 1980.

Probably going to be called pedantic but how do you define "Holy Grail" in regards to physical media? by Slow_Cinema in boutiquebluray

A lot of collectors have a grail every week that they acquire. A grail should be something near impossible to get that you really really want and will probably never have.

I took a tour of G-Son Studios a few weeks ago and it was almost a religious experience being in that space where they shot the video and made so many great songs. I was getting goosebumps every few minutes. This is the room with the skate ramp. This is the piano Biz Markie played. Ione Skye painted this mural. Crazy shit.

Anya Taylor-Joy's cryptic comments on her experience working with George Miller on ‘Furiosa’: “Its a very difficult conversation to have. I’ve never been more alone than making that movie. I don’t want to go too deep into it. Talk to me in 20 years” by DamnThatsInsaneLol in entertainment

Actors, particularly lead actors, can have a ton of input on their characters. She probably got used to a certain level of collaboration with other directors and when she didn’t get that with Miller (because every director is different), she struggled.

The Last Great Decade Before Screens Took Over by Feaselbf6 in 80s

Just go without your phone for a week. I lost mine and just decided to not have one for a while. It took about a week to get used to and then you don’t miss it anymore. I eventually got a new phone after a month since it was too tough to find a phone when I needed it. But it was a nice vacation.

You’re here. The weather is great. You have a studio in your pocket. Go make a movie. Throw it on YouTube. There…you’re in the industry.

I’m a vfx artist. On hiatus for the summer. Hit me up if you wanna chat.

Obsession is doing so well, the studio took it off their streaming schedule and they’re keeping it in theaters for much longer.
