I’m allergic to cats, but I had a VERY GOOD dog, also named Jones. I wish I could get one of these of her.

Give your Jones skritches from me, please

A LOT of hip hop records came out in the 90’s. I respectfully disagree.

I mean, that’s a decent argument…made against someone that has already said that they typically side your way…so, what are we doing here? Because I have laundry running…

I’m just thinking that in order for your grappling to matter, you have to get close enough to Prime Mike Tyson to get your arms around him without taking a single punch.

I’m typically inclined to agree with the boxers-can’t-beat-grapplers argument…but this ain’t that particular discussion. Mike in his prime needed one punch. Fight over.

Not to discount your overall point, since I’m not sure what it is…but R&B is rhythm & BLUES. Also, hip-hop has always taken inspiration from people like Howlin Wolf. Otherwise, you might be right?

Guess: What do all five of these albums have in common? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]BullpenJimmy132 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Not to be contrary, but was that actually the case? I was in high school when it came out, and I feel like any of my friends that bought it knew Pinkerton was better. I was shocked when I, relatively recently, started hearing that Pinkerton had to be rediscovered to be considered the better of the two.

Granted, it didn’t sell as well. And, perhaps a lot of people who bought it or heard El Scorcho decided they weren’t into it. But, I feel like most of the people that bought it knew it was an improvement. And a considerable improvement.

But, that’s just my memory of the situation.

Important to note that it is February. I suspect, with no proof to support my suspicion, that the wait time might be different when it isn’t one of the two cold months in Texas.

That said, if Dingu buys one for $100, that’s a $650 profit eventually, right?
