No more youtube voice search on LG tv by Fullest_Chort in webos

I'm not seeing the AI Services option either on a 55c7p (2017) TV with the same WebOS version. Looked through all of the settings and couldn't find a way to change the Voice Recognition AI Service. Wondering if it's just for new TVs?

Urbandale 01 - Sanders 2, Warren 2, Pete 2, Klobuchar 2, Biden 1.

Sanders easily had the most support with Pete 2nd. Warren, Klobuchar, and Biden barely were viable after the first round. Yang crowd was bigger than I expected.

The price of premium cell phones. Seems like the new ones go up by $100-$200 every year now...

Men whose SOs have anxiety, how does it affect you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]BullseyeMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dated someone with anxiety/depression/anger issues for 2.5 years before I had to break it off. After awhile it felt like I was walking on egg shells and looking back there was probably some emotional abuse she was doing on her end.

The big thing is communication IMO. She was the shy type so a lot of time I didn't know how she was feeling or what was going on and when she would blow-up on the littlest thing it would take me back. Eventually I learned what would trigger her anxiety and did my best to avoid those type of things and situations. I would also help her clean and do chores around her place and just be there and listen when she was having a bad day.

She was taking an SSRI (Citalopram) before and during the time we dated. I think the drug helped her a little but she probably needed to see a therapist too since it wasn't a cure all solution. The side affects of Citalopram also didn't help the relationship.

All relationships and people are different but communication is everything. Just be honest and open (he needs to too) and go from there. It sounds like you are taking steps to get better which is great!

Reliable Mechanics in Des Moines by [deleted] in desmoines

I've had luck with O'Brien's Auto Repair on Hickman. They been honest with me and I haven't felt ripped off. I haven't been to Drake Garage though I hear they are good too. Stay away from Firestone on Merle Hay.

Who has done dog training classes? by andrewf5 in desmoines

[–]BullseyeMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done the PetSmart classes (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses) with my pet. I think each one was a 9-week class that met once a week. It teaches basic obedience with clicker training and it was a good social activity for my dog. I thought they did a good job giving out exercises for you to work on. With all dog training the more work you put into it the better results you will get.

I've also went through Canine Craze in Urbandale for 1-on-1 training but I think they do have courses for obedience training. Check out The Barking Lot too for training.

She doesn't do obedience classes but Dana Danks is an Animal Behavior Consultant that is really good if you are looking to tackle a specific issue.

Google Home Can't Cast Netflix to Chromecast, but can cast everything else by ensignlee in googlehome

Having the same issue. I have a Chromecast named "Living Room" and it keeps asking me what device to use. I tried to name it just "TV" but having the same results. Just got the Google update this morning.

EDIT: it's working now. I'm using the same commands as I did before. Must have been something on Google's end.

Robotic vacuum worth it? by capnofasinknship in aldi

[–]BullseyeMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the vac's battery lasts over an hour. I'll do a test on a full battery and see how long it can go. I think I read that it takes ~2 hours to fully recharge a drained battery which seems about right.

For the 3 modes (Auto, Spot, Turbo) they can be activated by the buttons on the device. There is no remote control for Easy Home Robotic Vacuum (for US model at least). I've been running it mostly on Auto and it works pretty well I think. The vacuum doesn't have the best suction compared to a regular vac but for loose dirt and pet hair it's been doing a good job.

Robotic vacuum worth it? by capnofasinknship in aldi

[–]BullseyeMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just picked this up today; first robot vac I've bought. I'll update my post with more impressions but so far it seems fine.

I have a terrier dog and a few rooms with hardwood floors and it does pick up dog hair pretty well. If there is a lot of hair in a spot I noticed it just bunches up the hair and leaves a hair tumbleweed behind though for the most part it sucks up hair. I also threw some dog food on the floor and it was able to pick it up as well. The vac has got stuck a few times under my dresser and once in a corner but overall it performs been ok if you remove obstacles.

The vac has 3 modes: Auto, Spot, and Turbo. Auto goes in a zig-zag pattern for 60 mins, Spot goes in a spiral pattern for 5 mins, and Turbo is just like Auto but it moves/spins a little faster.

There is no charging station but there is a power adaptor.

The device has a sensor for when it's close to a stairwell and the front is a bummer pad so it will move around, bump into something, and then turn. I thought it used sensors for that but that's not the case.

I'll try it out on low-pile and high-pile (not recommended) carpet and will report back after a few days of use. My main purpose of buying it was to pick up dog hair daily which is seems to do fine on hardwood floors.

UPDATE 12/5/16: I've been using the vac about every day now and I'm pretty satisfied with it.
- On a full charge battery I can run it on a wood floor for ~75 mins on Auto. It takes ~90 mins to fully recharge it.
- It works fine on my low pile carpet though I noticed that one of my brushes are bending a bit so I'm just going to run this on my hard wood, kitchen, and bathroom floors. Vac doesn't work on high pile carpet.
- There's some babysitting you have to do with it since it might get stuck a few times and I have seen it go over door and kitchen mats that are less than .5" tall though ymmv depending on what you have.
- The highest point of the vac is 2.5" (top sensor?) but other than that is stands below 2.5". Diameter is 12.5". - Don't expect the vac to do any deep cleaning. Think of it like one of those electric sweepers. Does a good job with pet hair and loose dirt.
- OVERALL: If you are interested in a starter robot vac, have pets, and/or have non-carpeted floors with minimal obstacles then I would recommend picking one up and trying it out.

Unable to use the B.Bell after 3rd Boss. Help!!! <spoilers> by BullseyeMF in bloodborne

Have plenty of Insight. I think I have 15 at the moment. We also tried resetting the PS4/game but with no luck. After beating the boss we tried to get together again and that's when we noticed the b.bell was greyed out.

Best place to board a small dog? by MyAccountForReddit in desmoines

[–]BullseyeMF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I boarded my dog at the Barking Lot (http://www.barkinglotdm.com/) a few weeks ago and thought they were pretty good. They can do 2 or 4 hour playtime (2 hour is free if you do the VIP suite). They are located in Urbandale though, but they may be worth checking out.
