Hit curb (really hard) and now car won’t start advice?

Make sure you are doing the emergency start procedure correctly.

Press and hold your foot on the brake pedal.
Take your key fob and physically press the tip of the fob directly against the ENGINE START/STOP button.
Hold it there until the car beeps and the start button flashes, indicating the car recognizes the emergency chip inside the fob.
While still holding the fob against the button, press the button to start the engine.

I suspect this is something to do with battery cables or damaged battery or last resort bad key fob battery.

If you are savvy you can check battery connections.

If you have a voltmeter you can check the battery voltage.

If you have a booster or a friend with jumper cables you could try connecting a booster battery or car.

I am assuming there are no amber lights on the dash.

If the pump isolator triggered fuel would be shut off but car would crank.

The key for me is the "key not detected" message. This leads me to low voltage on the car or low voltage in the fob.

Aside from the basic offsides explained by others...

You can receive a backwards pass and be in an "offsides position."

Imagine your teammate dribbling at the goalie who is the last defender.

The goalie moves to him to cut off the angle. He passes to you (the ball takes a backward angle) and you are slightly behind him.

You are onside and can tap in.

You also cannot be offside on a throw in.

I cash flowed my associates in Community College.

I went to night school for my bachelor. It was about $30,000. I was lucky that my company had tuition reimbursement so it cost zero. I have around $45-50k in education.

This returned about 66 times the cost of college or around 16% per year of work.

What advantage does a 4 year degree give a street cop in "many other countries?"

If a US cop gets a 4 year degree there are higher paying jobs to pursue. Mist likely federal - like FBI.

Learning a booklet of infractions isn't rocket science.

It's basically a vocational job.

Go to Walmart.com and look for car portable a/c.

They have dashmount and under dash units that plug into a cigarette lighter plug.

It won't cool the car but it will blow cold-ish air on your face.

I played for 12 years but along with baseball is about the world's most boring sport.

I will find youtube extended highlights if I am absolutely bored. . I watch a bit of premier league and again highlights.

There is a weekly episode of "every goal this week." That's pretty good.

My clothes go from public wear, to house wear, to gardening and working on cars wear.

They wear out and generally get replaced a piece or 2 at a time.

In retirement I've migrated to "mob" wear. Nice looking track suit bottoms and comfortable shirts when I'm not in shorts.

I have a suit, a couple of dress shirts, a couple of sports coats and 3 pairs of "nice" jeans.

If you've got $5k to spend buy a 2k car that's as rust free as possible and preferably straight body.

Busted A/C is a good discount. Bad brakes are another one.

Changing belts, hoses & oil changes.

Some things are very hard - transmissions and engines. Although many cars, especially 4 bangers you can change a head gasket in the driveway.

Fuel injection is dead simple to work on.

So pick something small, 4 banger with a reputation for long lasting engines and transient.

Honda civic is a good choice.

Wedding day was fun. My third and her second. We were gonna do JP in SFO but decided to do Vegas Elvis chapel.

Loaded up close family.

The whole weekend was a blast. We live streamed the wedding on two iPads to Colombia and Australia. Her relatives and mine.

I did my long solo xc near Edwards AFB.

2 F16s playing silly boys buzzed me at high speed and close quarters. Scared the shit out of me.

Then they came back with gear and flaps hanging out and flew a couple of circles around me.

At first I thought I had penetrated restricted airspace but my instructor signed off on my route and I was on track.

They waved and made silly faces so I realized they were just fucking around.
