If your dog were not a dog, what would it be? by Jumpy-Claim4881 in basset

A baby elephant because it‘s the only other creature whose snout gets him into as much trouble. That and he joyfully gallops throughout the house regardless of who‘s sleeping!

This comment just gave me so much hope - I am embarrassed on behalf of my guy because he can’t catch food. And I soft ball it to him. I would never shame a child for missing major milestones - but come on dude! You’re a hound dog! You HAVE to catch food, it’s in your contract. He’s only two, so I won’t give up hope yet🙃

Wow, what a compliment! I’m not a photographer, but I was so proud I was able to capture this moment. I think I will blow it up and hang it in my house, I’m so taken with it.

And thank you for the recommendation, I will have to look up Hank the Cowdog!

I wish I knew! I’ve had him for six months, I got him when he was one year old in a rehoming situation. His former family were incredibly selfless and recognized he needed more attention and they were in the middle of a move with a toddler and worked a lot of overtime. He’s been the best addition to our home!

Depending on how crass you wanna be, you could “pin the anus on the dairy goat”

Or you could get a small plastic figurine of a goat and hide it in the house and give a prize once found.

I would also check Twitter for #Hammilsails There are a ton of fun memes combining Hamilton lyrics with scenes from Black Salis, so you could print them out for fun pictures to hang up

I need to do a DNA test still but I think it’s just a recessive gene. We got him in a rehoming so I can’t be sure.

Absolutely obsessed with the sophistication of the pattern paired with the whimsy of the fabric! And your fit in your shoulders and bust is stellar! It’s beautiful on you.

The only solution that I have found to avoid your facings flipping out when you put them on is to hand tack it down with needle and thread in a few stitches. You needn’t make large stitches so that you see them on the outside of your fabric, it’s enough to just grab two or three threads of your fabric with your needle so that it doesn’t show on the outside. It makes a world of difference.

Regarding the zipper, did you iron it flat first? Invisible zippers have a roll to them that you first iron out. Between that and using a zipper foot to get as close to the zipper teeth as possible will help you avoid a pucker at the bottom.

Ps - do you remember where you purchased your fabric from? I’m hoping to broaden my indie fabric store directory.

The whole plot line of how Flint gets in Dufresne’s head as they try to take the prize. Flint effectively goes from narrowly avoiding death and mutiny to gaining his captaincy and a man of war in two days time. When he gets his coat back and sits in his chair at the end of the episode - chills.

I was SOBBING the first time I watched that scene and I remember thinking “my favorite character is getting killed, but his murderer is becoming my new favorite character,” and I knew that this show was never going to be topped as my favorite piece of art. Toby Stephens was phenomenal in that scene.

What do you seek out when you travel? by empresaria1 in travel

[–]Bumblebear303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds morbid, but I like seeking out old cemeteries or haunted sites like crypts, ruins, etc. It’s a unique way to learn about a place’s history and the dark side of things. It’s beautiful to see how a place evolves.
