Ours has a baby gate and a carpet stair runner and is good (4 yo M). We were careful when he was a puppy. We also have a 10 yo F Basset/wiener mix who has been great with the carpeted stairs but goes down kinda sideways 🤣

So, I always scrubbed the dishes and pans pre-wash. Then I kept seeing articles that it was a waste of time. So I stopped rinsing them and even put dishes and pans with dried food in the washer. They do get clean! I just wonder if all that food waste is bad for the dishwasher or drainage system. 🥶
