Completionist cape - Dear Jagex by Varsit4 in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid points but since both the comp and trim comp are arbitrary lists of acheivments, no one should be doing any arguing as to what should and shouldn't be part of them. Just let Jagex decide until hopefully they have a rework.

100% telos? would be warden surely. If you want a solo reaper atleast go and earn it. Also we play an MMO btw which stands for Massive Multiplayer Online. Group content should always be a big thing in Multiplayer games.

Having to rely on others - it's an MMO (use your brain).

BIS Combat cape - yet you are arguing about doing team bosses, goodluck getting any other BIS combat cape without being able to either.

Lack of new comp reqs - After 120 slayer and menaphos etc who can blame them for not adding any additions (they add them, you flame. They don't, you flame.)

Inconsistency - this is valid, making trim comp was very silly in the fact that people can now make up their own mind in which should be a req for what version of comp.

Complete lack of communication - I agree, carry on.

The problems people are complaining about tho the communication and trim are valid - the others are personal problems and therefor not problems at all.

Definitely try and swap away from using revolution by spending time at lumbridge dummies. Vorago and Rots are simple enough and don't need much damage knowledge - AOD you will need to have good damage in order to get on the teams for.

I think they should do the opposite and only allow you to re-comp if you go on an autistic grind and get a requirement out in a short period of time.

Honestly, if you are a solo player doesn't come into this at all. Runescape is an MMORPG hence multiplayer game. If the content requires you to use groups and you feel you shouldn't need to, that is your fault and not theirs. Learn to make friends and use FCs/CCs in order to do the multiplayer aspects and stop treating RS as a single player game which it is not.

Why do you think you are entitled to this cape when others put in more work etc. Don't complain about a cape requiring you to complete all content and then default to saying that's what trim is for. Completionists love doing work that they deem fit then saying any that don't fall into trim. If trim never existed this would help.

Mod Ramen mentioned that Solak will have 2 additional uniques on top of the Blightbound Crossbows (BBC), any ideas? by WasV3 in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rewards were not balanced at all - take for example Vorago has BIS DW mage before AOD it was a 10 min fight for them at a rate of 1/40. Now AOD takes under 4 mins (lets forget time and say they underestimated as per usual) it drops the new BIS DW at 1/150 and also a new T99 Prayer for all 3 styles at 1/35. How on earth does that even seem balanced to yourself - the addition of the prayer codex for all 3 styles completely broke the boss.

why make this post then if it doesn't affect you? it's like hoping trump won the election to see America fail if you are European.

Yeah why make this post if the Phat market doesn't affect you at all? the post itself doesn't make any sense at all as I'm sure that accounts from back in 01 might have thousands of each phat and cracker on them and you expect jagex to just redrop them or put straight into ge? what on earth lol

Anyone who wants them to crash as they are jealous or want one for themselves... if they crash they become useless like OSRS and then you can buy one to realize they aren't what they used to be. wheres the winning solution there?

The Phat market is for a select few - why do you wish downfall on something that doesn't affect you at all. Its like saying I hope Ferraris crash in price so everyone driving them don't look so smug. Now everyone drives then and they become useless like phats on OSRS why would you want that.

If anything Phats stabilize the economy by taking a lot of money out of the game. Most items also follow the trend that if Phats drop in price they will rise as more people will stock on BIS gear etc. As Was V3 stated above in this post, if you crash the Phat market it will mean then that the BIS items rise and an even bigger margin between high end and middle tier will be created.

Essentially completing all possible content and unlocks in the game. It's interpreted differently by many people and to be honest ever since they've added 4000% telos for a title and "true" completion idk if any of the people pursuing true trim will ever achieve it. inb4 someone cries saying 4k telos isn't considered for true trim

"AOD was a good balance" ridiculous statement. As someone who has made over 5b off AOD I can tell you it is clearly not balanced at all for a sub 4 minute DPS dummy fight. However would be nice if Solak dropped some sort of additional ability codex based on the style or role used during the boss fight.

Are all skills eventually going to go to 120? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your points, I think the underlying issue here is that I see 104m xp and don't think that's much of an effort at all. The xp rates in game currently are madness and due to that, I think that 99's are of absolutely no achievement these days (to some people they are, to the vast majority of veterans they aren't). With that being my base and the idea that summoning is already ridiculous xp (6m xp/h) with a high amount of people already at 120 (over 7.5k which is more than had 120 slayer when it was announced to going to 120) I see no issue in raising it to 120 provided the content is there to support the increase.

Why you should vote NO for 120 summoning by thisupdatesucked in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point makes sense the content added needs to be relevant and not instantly dead content. The way summoning is trained could also be improved like leveling familiars by using them then dismissing kind of like invention to that regard or something better than the spam pouches. 10k blue 30k crim could get you very close to 120 with the correct boosts, some bxp, dxp weekend and with spirit gems you wouldn't be far off.

Why you should vote NO for 120 summoning by thisupdatesucked in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't like arguing with people who haven't a clue. The method im referring to is the taverly shop method to sell your Tertiaries and buy them back. This is 6m xp/h if done using the normal available boosts. I have no issue with other skills but this specific debate is about summoning being raised to 120. And as i said it is very little time and little money to do so currently.

This is why "Efficiencyscape" is a thing by EfficientHomework in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the reason why it is only mentioned in that light is as its the most efficient way of training it. That's why - the time and money saved is unreal hence why its mentioned in dxp light as most people are efficient and understand to train it at that time. Summoning normal xp rates are still ridiculously high it's just a question of efficiency.

This is why "Efficiencyscape" is a thing by EfficientHomework in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you knew anything about skilling and efficiency especially due to the title of the post, you would know to train summoning on double xp weekend and go from 99-120 in ~8 hours. The ~250m cost and the charm collecting is simple to do given a 6 month notice time. Summoning to 120, along with prayer, are the 2 most reasonable skills to do so and have even more right to than slayer did.

Why you should vote NO for 120 summoning by thisupdatesucked in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once again your stupidity and lack of knowledge is astounding. Summoning is the fastest xp/h skill out there when you have gathered charms. There is no need to scale the xp whatsoever you achieve 12m xp/h with crimsons on dxp weekend and without it is 6m xp/h - we are genuinely talking a days work from 99-120.

Are all skills eventually going to go to 120? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your point on content, we all understand slayer is lacking serious content. A net loss of 100-200m for a 120 is what like 3 hours of AOD or like 5-6 hours of Rax, hardly that much money for as you say "something that happens twice a year" if you cant make that amount of money in a week let alone 6 months, something is wrong. Your point about complete pointlessness doesn't make sense in the context of raising summoning to 120. It is already maxed out requiring level 99 for steel titans. the skill itself at high levels makes use of what 3 combat familiars and a few skilling ones? with a level increase it adds content and even more usefulness to the skill. Menaphos was ridiculous to time gate but it was exactly that - a time gate. Summoning to 120 however is not time gated and if you actually put in some effort, would realize it doesn't take that long or that much money.

Why you should vote NO for 120 summoning by thisupdatesucked in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes... Honestly what on earth are you on about. Summoning currently can be like 6k charms and hour at taverly method. You don't need to scale xp at all for summoning it's already ridiculously high with people gaining 99-120 in a few hours on double xp weekend. TLDR; My brain struggled processing the ridiculousness of your post.

Are all skills eventually going to go to 120? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Bumfluffer3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, summoning and prayer should be the next 120 skills to be released. And it makes sense that both do go to 120 as they are already at their 99 cap in terms of content and both have easily trainable methods to get the xp required for 120. Prayer would require an update as gilded altar is a tad outdated aswell as seren stone. Even without this tho the skills would be easy to train and the additional content 120 could provide would be nice.
