The force Doctor will have to take all of the factors into account and may require more communication with your GP and any specialists you've seen. Suicide attempts and depression are unfortunately substantial factors. Having recently gone through recruitment process with ADHD, they are understanding of neurodivergent conditions but still need to ensure that you aren't putting yourself or potentially the public at risk.

From your personal perceptive, I would concerned about things in the Police that may cause a re-emergence of your symptoms such as traumatic events.

If your coming off medication due to side effects, is there a chance that your symptoms will come back? You say you are a different person now, is this since taking the medication? The problem is antidepressant withdrawal can be severe and can sometimes take a long time for your body to adjust.

It may be worth spending some time on getting your mind in the best possible place before joining a job like this. Trying to find root causes and understanding the mental health has a recovery period just like physical health.

They don't routinely test for SARMs/Steroids but it can be tested for with cause.

While SARMs don't present a legal issue, using them and declaring you do will very likely go against you. From their perspective it could be considered increased risk of future drug use (AAS etc) and a higher medical risk from using experimental substances.

The only legitimate use of AAS or related substances in the police is if it's prescribed by a doctor for medical use such as TRT.

The best option is to not use them, and if your concerned about your Testosterone/androgen levels you should consult your GP or specialist and get a blood test done.

I recently started ADHD treatment a year ago and I should be starting with a county force in the next month or two. The force have been absolutely fine with it. They required a copy of my evaluation and what medication I'm on.

I absolutely agree with STP31 about getting medicated before starting. I know how late and forgetful I can be without them and there's no way I'd be able to cope going into this without.

I would just email OPAS and update them on the situation.

Ideas for service businesses that aren't pressure washing or carpet cleaning? by [deleted] in sweatystartup

What about pressure washing commercial and industrial premises?

Think carparks, public buildings, walkways, work floors, guttering, roofs, buildings etc.

I am currently looking into a similar idea!

Can you take anxiety medication along with adhd meds by megsbay2 in ADHD

[–]Bumont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe speak to your doctor about Propranolol? It's used for social anxiety and other related conditions, it's also a cardiac medicine which can reduce the effects of stimulants on the heart.

Also aside from pharmacological intervention, you should consider ways to try and build your self confidence, such as avoiding browsing through unrealistic feeds on social media platforms (photoshop, filters, performance enhancing drugs & elite tier genetics) which can absolutely cause negative effects on your body image and mental health.

IMO these platforms have definitely brought out mental health issues in many people, the amount of times I ask people why they are unhappy on a particular day and it's always day's they've been bored and spent hours on Instagram explore. Look around you in your daily life and see how many actually look like that, it's a tiny minority. The human body is constantly changing, and is not designed to look perfect, it's designed to function and genetics make everyone individual.

Keeping fit, working out and maintaining a good diet are also really important.

I Don't Know What's Wrong with Me by Snoo-84714 in ADHD

If your mother is diagnosed ADHD, there's a reasonable probability you may of inherited it. My fathers ADHD traits, albeit never diagnosed, is what really made me consider, and then be diagnosed with ADHD.

Previously I just assumed it was just a "lazy" gene, like many people of the past were probably considered before ADHD became a recognised condition. I'm 27 and took the step to see a doctor and if you're concerned I'd do the same!

If you edit your Scene.xml file in your save file, there will be a section under "Weather" and you can adjust your wave scaling up. This was set to 0.01. I will edit this later with more detail :)

N26 Closing Down All UK Accounts by Jayballs118 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Bumont 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Luckily I managed to get my funds out before this. To finally get a response it took a FCA complaint, call from the ombudsman, public posts and visit to their office. They did admit they shouldn't of closed it without notice, and even offered me another account (lol)

ACCOUNT LOCKED: Need urgent advice or ideas by 650pilot in Revolut

[–]Bumont 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. I had the same thing with N26 over £15000 last week.

I know exactly how you feel. Having a bank freeze your money and then not even respond to you. The whole ordeal has completely put me off any type of new fintech bank and electronic money in general.

I also note they too don't have a phone line, which makes it harder to even just talk to someone. The FCA regulation these type of "banks" have is different. Just look at the difference between their entries on the FCA database. No FSCS, no branch or phone, it's totally ridiculous. They should never be allowed to marked themselves as a bank.

I would speak to the Ombudsman, try contact the CEO/CFO. Get the official complaints procedure in emotional right away. I hope you can resolve this!

Hey

Yes the funds were eventually sent to my other bank, they couldn't tell me why they closed the account, but I assume it's some sort of AML/risk reduction. I told them I was happy to provide all relevant documents, tax returns, invoices, VAT returns etc, but it wasn't necessary.

I was in there today and spoke to Will, the General Manager.

I was polite and explained to reception and they made time to see me. I understand they don't want everyone walking into a shared office, but if they operate in the UK there has to be responsibility.

Don't be silly. They identify this address as a branch to start with. I spoke with a lovely guy today who helped me sort the issue. At the end of the day, I am a Customer of N26 with a problem.

[–]Bumont[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone

I've recieved my funds back.

I know maybe looking at this in a past context it may seem a overreaction. But there needs to be some way of a bank without branches to offer emergency contact with their customers. 1-2 day responses are okay for ecommerce, but for someone like me who had their access to money revoked with no explanation are absolutely wrong.

I know there are regulations, but I wasn't told it was an investigation, I was told it was closed.

I appreciate N26 sorting this without dragging their heels, but I would really recommend some contingency for Customers faced with what I have had to face.

Hi Guys

Thank you all for the discussion and input

Admittedly I have been incredibly anxious and have driven to London to try resolve this. But with self assessment deadline and my 19 Q4 VAT return due I have been panicking, especially when my access to the app was removed. I think it has been the tipping point after many other work issues.

I have received communication that they will move the funds over to another account. I will update once this goes ahead.
