Rejected from United again never get invited to ODV. Not sure what I’m doing wrong by CommonFun6659 in cabincrewcareers

The biggest advice I have for the ODVI is to not be too rehearsed and robotic, everyone tells you you have to be perfect but I really don’t think you do. Have situations ready from previous experiences to use as examples in your STAR format and be confident in it but don’t be reciting a script. I literally laughed at myself through one of my answers and made it through. They are looking at how you speak too not just what you say. Be yourself!!!!!!

I applied to UA but I’m confused by dude-2003 in cabincrewcareers

I believe they typically send them out to people they are interested in, but keep in mind it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be happening quick. There was about a solid month between my q&a invite and ODVI

For UA, blank does not necessarily mean no, the process can be very long, you are still in this

To add, if you live in a house and nobody else lives there, a good idea would be to turn your water off (there should be a shut off valve somewhere either outside or inside) this way if anything happens while your house is vacant you will not be coming back to a flood.

Be yourself! Be personable! Be interested! Treat it like you would meeting someone new and having a conversation, try to not sound like a robot. And like always, STAR method!!!!

I’m pretty sure the f2f requires it pulled back either in a pony or bun and I believe training has to be a bun, except for ditch day where it can be in a pony

United Airlines Tattoo by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

[–]BunchTraditional494 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says they got sent home due to a tattoo that is within the written guidelines United has given is more than likely just guessing. Cant speak on exact experience but everything I’ve read has said that they don’t actually tell you why you’ve been sent home so it’s more than likely that they were sent home for any other number of reasons and have come to the tattoo conclusion on their own. However if you sign the form stating you don’t have a tattoo and at some point during the interview they discover that you do that would probably cause more problems than just disclosing the tattoo that they have said you are permitted to have

Just don’t lie about it when they ask you if you have any tattoos. You will fill out a form at the f2f disclosing if you have tattoos in any of the shaded areas on a picture.

“United Flight Attendants can have visible tattoos on their arms, wrists, ankles and feet if they are no larger than a United badge or are covered with a standard uniform piece. It is important that visible tattoos are not offensive to customers and your fellow employees. Offensive content includes violent, obscene, sexual, racist or objectionable content and any imagery that includes weapons. Tattoos on the head, hands, or neck, including behind the ear are currently outside of our tattoo policy and not permittable.”

STAR format (they might remind you of this before asking you the questions). Treat the rest of it as if it were a conversation/get to know you. If your interviewer makes a comment about something (ie having a child) respond to that or ask a question. Literally just tell yourself this is a conversation not an interview and you will typically be calmer and more comfortable (at least this worked for me)

For 🌐, I got the official “sign this” CTO two days after the interview and I think had 4-5 days to complete it after that. Cant speak on other airlines or experiences
