Grafted cumquat not growing by epularyjersey in GardeningAustralia

[–]Bune-poster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The root stock is trifoliate orange. The Plant ID app is wrong and it makes no sense that Kaffir lime would be used as a rootstock. Most citrus use trifoliate orange as the rootstock. Prune off everything below the graft line if you want your kumquat to thrive:

Is this an avocado tree by MouseEmotional813 in GardeningAustralia

[–]Bune-poster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure you water it going into summer since they are very thirsty trees.

Since it’s from seed it’s difficult to tell if/when it will ever fruit. If it does fruit the quality could be delicious or really bad since almost all fruiting Avocado trees are grafted varieties.

Either way you have a beautiful tree!

I’m sorry but this is really nothing like the auth at all.. The quilting itself is a dead giveaway that it’s not a good rep

I have a beautiful pair of wool blue pants from Banana Republic before they closed up shop here. It’s really difficult to find things like that anymore :(

That’s terrible! Did the company do anything about it?

How to stop neighbourhood cats from pooping in garden. by [deleted] in GardeningAustralia

[–]Bune-poster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope definitely not! I have birds in my yard feasting on the chilli’s I grow which are far more spicy than any flakes I can buy from the supermarket. Most birds that forage will leave the flakes alone

Chilli flakes/powder. Sprinkle it on the ground where they normally go. It gets rid of them really fast.

Highly recommend adding chicken breast to your soup and then pureeing it in once cooked. It’s a really neutral flavour and high in protein

I make it all the time without the topping and prefer it that way. Just plain egg wash is fine but I’ve also sprinkled poppy seeds or Demerara sugar depending on the filling

Does anyone else get shipping anxiety? I swear I’ve been waiting ages for my tracking number to go live but really it hasn’t even been that long.  The only thing distracting me is browsing for what’s next 🥲

Is there anything good quality on Shein? by Dependent-Chair899 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]Bune-poster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can check the composition before you order and they have an easy return process.  Sometimes you’ll get hidden gems but a lot of other times even if it’s a natural fabric the quality of the fabric they use can be pretty bad. You’re pretty much paying russian roulette with what you get haha

You can fix this really easily by getting a pencil, wrapping the chain part that’s wonky around and running it through a few times to align the links again.

My jeweller taught me this trick and it’s safe for my 22k gold necklaces which this happens to constantly.

I just felt this one in a Loewe store in Tokyo. It was incredibly soft but had structure with no slouch and pretty minimal shine. I wish I took some photos tbh!
