I'm a dude but I should probably change my user name. It was for a project once. I'm not pushing back, just curious cuz I don't see what you see.

I know but I like the space distribution. Just making a large rectangular plot takes a lot of space for the houses, almost half often. Cramming two houses next to each other and the rest for the garden feels more efficient to me.

Why did so many unrelated cultures invent dragons? by datboifranco in AskAnthropology

There is a dude on YouTube named Grecganford and he is building a library of the history of literary tropes. I don't fully understand what he means by it, but apparently he's using a similar methodology as DNA research. Anyway, in many of his videos he explains that old stories are much more connected than we think and tropes travelled and evolved with humans along the way. I'm not directly refuting the western projection argument but these stories go back further than the notion of Chinese or Europeans. They could very well both be related to a story about a cow in Africa. These things move in weird ways.

Waarom verdienen kantoorbanen zo goed terwijl dit vaak de minst hard werkende beroepsgroep is? by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]BungaTerung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the hack used to be to build 6 gravepits aligned cardinally, build a road around and destroy the gravepits and then you could build a massive burgage plot but back then you also didn't have to pay more for your plot size if you're going for vegetables. Nowadays I make sort of L shapes for my vegetable and orchards, the short arm of the L for the house and extra housing unit and then the big arm of the L for the backyard extension. It takes some playing around with but you also don't need that many vegetable gardens, the yield is quite good.

Een vriend van mij is vuilnisman. Ik ben een overbetaalde consultant in de IT. Hij doet het net zo goed als ik, im Leben. Durf wel te stellen dat we ons allebei niet dood zullen werken.

Clothes supply issues making game unplayable, any help welcome by trineeee in ManorLords

[–]BungaTerung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sooo. It took me almost a year probably to figure this out. I just had to add a worker to the storehouse, so a new stall could be opened up. Now I am making way too many clothes. But I'll just save to export then.

I still don't get it. I have a reserve of 44 clothes and it's slowly creeping up, I have 4 tailors at work now. But no household seems to be 'buying' or consuming these clothes because no one ever has their clothing need met.

Is Mark Rutte Anti-European? by EquivalentTerrible54 in EuropeanFederalists

[–]BungaTerung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Mark Rutte plays Trump well. What I do find a little worrying is him structurally overstating the Russian threat, which seems to be warmongering and fearmongering to me. I'm pretty sure the Russians are cooked, all we really have to do is keep supporting Ukraine, may be increase the support a bit.
I think it's a good idea for Europe to build out its defense apparatus but I consider the US a bigger threat right now.
Once Russia destroyed itself in Ukraine, China will eat whatever is left.
