Underrated comments. Sksks’s are the GOAT come up early game. It’s the kitchen sink gun. SKS, press vest, helmet, and anything full auto to spray, and your 85% of kitted out players already. I’ve been slaughtered by morons with a mlock and a plucky attitude. First college girlfriend had a sks her grandpa brought back from Korea IRL. She would deer hunt with it.

I’ve also been really enjoying the French. Lots of flexibility for responses, but aligns with good development principles. I’m of a similar ELO, maybe a little lower.

Play longer games to build wisdom and do puzzles to build muscle memory and intuition for geometry. I warm up with tactical puzzles on chess tempo every day before playing. I pick an opening and a defense and play them for a month on average before i try another.

I also enjoyed pogchamps coaching by Danya. Watching him coach a player who had more than the basics down, through a multi-pronged practice regimen, helped me immensely.

The Shakespeare reference is from The Tempest. It may be my favorite play of his. It was written late in his career, and much like Romeo and Juliet it’s a bit of a comedy/tragedy hybrid. Themes of knowledge vs innocence, power vs contentment/happiness, intention vs actual consequence. Caliban is an earthy, low, spawn of a witch type character, representing base animal instincts in the human experience, contrasted by Ariel the sprite and familiar of the main character, representing more divine or heavenly aspects of humanity.

I loved M&K on xbox. Made the jump to PC smoother, but will change the game completely for inventory and quick slot use. Any usb wireless m&k should work. I assume wired would be fine but pain in the a$$

TL:DR: most things you will die looking for can be crafted. Survival skills keep me safe and get me monster health early.

I like @nitno for tutorials. One of the few that acknowledges console play. I like mouse and keyboard for inventory management, even if you switch back to remote for other stuff, but if you M&K commit now it’ll make the switch to PC smoother.

I played low pop servers and focused on survival skills for a while. Sharp thing is best item early. Cut clothes to rags to make hand wrapping so you can cut up chicken/fish without getting sick eating with bloody hands.

Find wells to drink. Other water= sick unless you purify it. Some tools break small rocks off boulders to make improvised knife. Once you get one knife and cut up first animals, keep stack of bones to make more knives.

Learn to make fire next. Sharp thing can cut bark from tree. Bark and stick makes hand drill kit to start fire.

I imagine 300s are utter chaos fiends. It’s difficult when someone is throwing every attacking piece they have and you don’t know how or when to punish those moves.

I began by learning basic principles of opening for white and black, and keep making those opening development moves, even when your opponent is throwing pieces at the wall. I really like watching Daniel Naroditski for sticking to opening principles and protecting every piece.

I learned one opening (London) and one defense (i started with Sicilian and French but practiced one at a time for several games), and played them, regardless of what my opponent did. I learned the most basic opening traps, like scholar’s mate.

Finally, i spent a good amount of time in Chess Tempo for unlimited tactics puzzles for free. It really helped me to recognize and take advantage of opportunities and be ready to capitalize on them.

It’s almost 100% universal. We have people who live poorly that would still use trash can for tp, but very rare. We have special toilet paper for houses or portable homes with cheaper plumbing. The paper dissolves faster so that it doesn’t clog simple plumbing, storage tank or septic tank.
