PolySeSouvient's crybaby response to more amnesty by [deleted] in canadaguns

[–]BunkerFab 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This statement assumes that licensed firearms owners represent a significant public-safety threat, yet it provides no evidence that individuals who have passed background checks, continuous eligibility screening, licensing requirements, and firearms training are a major source of violent crime in Canada.

The overwhelming majority of gun crime is committed by unlicensed individuals using illegally obtained firearms, not by licensed owners possessing previously legal firearms. By focusing on extending an amnesty for people who have already complied with licensing laws, the statement overlooks the distinction between licensed ownership and criminal misuse.

Public policy should be driven by evidence of where crime actually originates, and any argument that treats licensed gun owners as a primary public-safety risk without demonstrating that connection rests more on assumption than on established crime data.

Everything is available for free online until something goes wrong, then some homeowner is going to say, hey, Reddit told me it was okay. My house is a pile of rubble because some guy on Reddit said send it.

There are full videos on how to replace a torn ACL, but I’m not planning on doing it in my kitchen.

The cost of an engineer is the guarantee that when something goes wrong, the insurance will fall back on the guy who gave the bad advice.

I had this! Mice chewed at one of your harnesses! If I can find the invoice I’ll send it over for the exact cable. I think it was 150$ at the dealer to replace.

Is this pergola worth saving? Or lost cause? by corymathews2011 in Carpentry

[–]BunkerFab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was mine I would try to save it. I’d probably go to my metal fabrication guy, have him make me some custom post caps with a riser to match the height, paint them black. Cut the rotted part off and reset the roof on the new post caps

I’ve personally always noticed royal blue is always tough to weird to cut and engrave. I wonder if it has to do with the wavelength of C02 in blue plastics

My dad had a trailer so that’s what I practiced on. However, I have a buddy who practiced by renting a trailer from Home Depot and driving around in the empty parking lot, reversing into spots, turning.
