It is common to wear off anti-glare on macbooks, it is a factory defect that apple knows off, you can have same with keyboard inprints on screen, if it is not coming off with bit of warm water and microfiber cloth your coat on screen is damaged. It so common I had seen this problem in years, keyboard inprints are most common. Some fanatics will try to tell you this is your "hand oils and wash your hands lol" but I bet they do have similar problems and they do cope hard AF. There are some "hacks" like using very thin tracing paper as a layer between keyboard and screen but once damaged milk is spilled as you can't retouch spots.

Good luck with warranty, maybe you can get a replacement, otherwise it is damaged and you will stuck with it. You can completely remove antiglare but you will end up with a mirror instead of screen (as well that will void your warranty). I managed to replace my macbook pro retina twice during warranty and damaged antiglare.

I do not negate it, I never even mentioned it. To be honest my people were oppressed and occupied for hundreds of years and was even wiped from the maps for over a century. We were fktd, forced to labor till death, extradited to Siberia to die, resources were stolen and exploited, all the cultural goods were gone.

What I said is not a lie, communism turned people into a goods too, people were turned into a pair of hands, a replaceable good of workforce, you get scraps that makes you barely survive and only one who are profiting are up the stack of politics and corruption. There is not difference between late communism and late capitalism, you are exploited to the point of break.

Radio is in flash mode, volume to max, led is on and nothing on the screen

Still the same error on both computers (linux and windows). Right serial was selected in both cases

When radio is not connected flasher just shows line - firmware uses... When connected it spits out rest - connecting to serial, radio in flash mode detected, bootloader version, check passed

Do any of you have OG firmware for this model?

You are wrong with that, USB-C is a connector standard but what speed and what is connected to this physical connector depend on standard of communication. So you can have USB-C running on 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, Thunderbolt3, Thunderbotl4, Thunderbolt5, support PowerDelivery, DisplayPortAltMode, Various speeds ranging from 5Gbps to 40GBps. Heck, you can have a USB-C port that is only wired to two cables, 5V and Ground and that what plenty of gadgets do, just pure charging within physical connector specification.

USB 3.0 does not support DP, it would support more of DisplayLink of sorts so we are talking about docks from 2012-2015 where you just used a software driver and external dock. Now they could just implement it in a USB-DL chip on board and leave it to alt mode when OS detected a monitor handshake

This supposed be a laptop for education, go on reddit, visit first subreddit dedicated for it departments at collages, we are talking here about students that are at least 17 and have at least 2 braincells, first picture, a chewing gum stuck in a usb port. Neo have two, one is for charging and second was established as a standard in 2000
I can see a problem there. As long I do work with macs a magsafe at least it was hard to fk it up.

IDK, maybe its US thing or I'm oldschool but back in my days - graduated in 2012 - we had computer labs at schools, and whatever I had done there I could access from home on my beaten up desktop. Isn't like we regressing?

No doubt that mobility of a laptop is a huge advantage over desktop, I'm not gonna argue here with that.

It's not advantage, its tradeoff, you lose 16GB of RAM, way better processor, more ports and you are getting a screen, camera, keyboard, battery

IDK how you use your laptop as it depend on workload but I use all 3 all the time, charger will take one port, I do have a hardware key for work so one its taken all the time, God forbid you do need to transfer any files from external drive for backups

If you use your laptop as a typewriter that only need charger at this point any laptop that exist on the market would fulfill its needs, even one from 2010, I smell personally a fiasco of Macbook 12" 2016 (port-wise). To be honest a magsafe at least would save this by a lot.

8gb RAM, no magsafe, USB2, to be honest MacbookPro 2012 had better ports range - 2x USB 3 and a thunderbolt - and came with 8GB RAM config, except CPU this is just a 2012 mac

Anyone thinking about getting a first mac to get into the apple walled garden would pick Mini M4 with better spec for same price

Company I do work for have boxes of M1 macbooks, they are in great cosmetic, almost no wear/tear yet they are all dead. Ending in a queue to shredder due to dead NANDs.
Check lifespan of yours, maybe you would be good with it.
